Identify activists in various parts of the state who are currently - or could become - leaders in their local communities, as elected officials or citizen organizers and motivate them to advocate for change
Equip these local leaders to advocate for changes that are consistent with principles AFP believes in. You will do this, in part, by connecting them to the training and other resources of AFP
Organize events where you and other activists can engage the public through phone calls, social media, walking through neighborhoods to talk with people face-to-face. You'll also be free to innovate, by creating fun or unique ways to reach people to educate them on public policy issues and initiatives
Ensure that AFP stays in regular contact with our activists to keep them motivated, educated, and active
Manage part-time canvassing contractors including but not limited to time management, compliance with laws and regulations, and best practices

Qualifications:
Minimum of 21 years of age.

Previous customer service experience.

Certification in CPR/First Aid/AED/O2 required prior to first day of work.
Complete and maintain required trainings to include but not limited to: New Employee Orientation (NEO), Bloodborne Pathogens, Child Abuse Prevention (CAP), and Sexual Harassment upon hire and annually thereafter.
Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check, sex offender registry check, and Child Protective Services check
Essential Functions
Support the mission, vision and goals of the YMCA.
Promote a professional work environment through character development by modeling the values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
Lead in a manner that advances our cause to strengthen the foundations of community through programs that focus on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
Supervise activities at site(s) and surrounding areas to ensure safety and welfare of users.
Report and monitor all mechanical and equipment problems. Input maintenance requests in association maintenance software.
Set up equipment, and returns equipment to storage. Ensure cleanliness and safety of facilities and equipment.
Take the lead in problem solving building situations during the work shift.
Enforces all rules, regulations and policies, maintains documentation and reports incidents and accidents.
Maintain proper inventory of all sports equipment and return to YMCA once season is complete, if necessary.
Lining and maintaining fields and insuring all equipment is safe.
Maintain the cleanliness of the site before leaving each game or practice.
Assist and evaluate all programs to determine participant needs and possible areas of improvement or growth.
Follow mandated abuse reporting requirements.
Follow department association standards.
Attend staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.
Wear staff uniform and name tag, or professional attire when appropriate.
Act as a leader in emergency situations. Report any accidents or incidents according to Emergency Communication Action Plan.
Ensure all members, guests, and program participants are in a safe environment and actively follow branch Emergency Operations Plan (EOP).
Carry out other related duties as deemed necessary by the Program Supervisor and branch administration to ensure an excellent member experience.

Men's Shelter Supervisors will supervise Shelter Guests by enforcing Shelter policies, coaching for accountability, follow the HMIS check-in/out process (includes move-in/out), providing accurate census of guests, assist with appointment management, monitor security protocols (doors/entry/rooms), room checks and promoting a team environment for guests, volunteers, and team members.
Administrative duties to include completion of records/documents, inspections, incident reports, medication distribution, phone calls, supply maintenance.
Conflict resolution/deescalating potentially volatile situations and reporting to appropriate persons as needed. Report needs/concerns to housekeeping, maintenance and IT. Assist volunteers/interns to include training and assistance. Laundry operations during 3rd shift includes cleaning guest's clothing while they rest. Housekeeping duties to ensure infection control processes are in place for health, safety and security measures.
All Rescue Mission of Roanoke team members may be asked to complete other duties as assigned by the leadership/management. Expectation is to complete these assignments as requested.

Ensure CWEU staff's timely completion of data entry and support regional teams' strategic use of data to inform community engagement efforts

Identify priority issues and raise concerns for the CWEU Coordinator to address
Support Team Leads' efforts to establish and expand relationships with targeted community connections across Philadelphia
