Core Responsibilities & Focus:
The primary duties are centered on Microbiology and Environmental Monitoring:
Micro Plating: Preparing and testing samples for bacteria, yeast, and mold.
Sample Collection: Performing environmental monitoring (e.g., air, surfaces), swabbing manufacturing lines, and collecting and testing treated water and CIP (Clean-in-Place) water.
Analytical Testing (Secondary): Performing chemical and quality control tests on ingredients and finished products, including:
Testing ingredient concentration using HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography).
Testing finished product quality (e.g., Brix, pH, color, sensory).
Stress testing packaging materials.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
While a degree is not explicitly required, the candidate must possess strong hands-on experience.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a lab setting.
Background: Strong science background is necessary.
Industry: Experience in the Food & Beverage Industry is a PLUS.
Skills: Knowledge of complex laboratory techniques, equipment, and terminology; ability to create and analyze statistical data.
Physical: Must be able to lift 20 lbs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Comply with all policies and regulations put in place by Pangea Laboratory, State, Federal, CAP, CLIA, and HIPAA.
Complete routine handling, accessioning, and storage of laboratory specimens in accordance with standard operating procedure.
