Positions at this level are distinguished from the Information Systems Engineer I by the performance of the full range of duties as assigned, working independently, and exercising judgment and initiative. Positions at this level receive only occasional instruction or assistance as new or unusual situations arise and are fully aware of the operating procedures and policies of the work unit. This class is distinguished from the Senior Information Systems Engineer in that the latter performs the more complex work assigned to the series, serves in a project lead capacity on an ongoing basis, and/or provides technical and functional direction over lower-level staff. PLEASE NOTE: In-person, interview and pre-employment testing is part of the selection process for this position. SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED Receives general supervision (Information Systems Engineer I) to direction (Information Systems Engineer II) from assigned supervisory or management personnel.
