Pay rate: $50.23 per hour PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Collect samples from plant locations, including gaseous and liquid. Analyze samples using analytical instruments such as ion chromatographs, atomic absorption spectrometers, ICP & ICP-MS, colorimeters, and x-ray fluorescence analyzers. Analyze samples for radioactivity using gamma ray spectrometry and gross activity counting equipment. Recognize and correct adverse trends in quality control data, as well as chemistry data. Monitor the in-line Chemistry instrumentation to maintain parameters within specified limits. Communicate results of out of specification results to Chemistry Management and the Operations Shift. Maintain supplies of consumable materials, chemicals, and spare parts in the lab. Maintain / calibrate online chemistry monitors and lab instrumentation as directed. Maintain with management support supplies of consumable materials, chemicals, and spare parts in lab. Maintain/calibrate online instrument monitors and lab instrumentation. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES * Record and trend data from the chemical analysis. * Notify chemistry management for out of specification conditions and adverse trends. * Respond to operations chemistry needs. * Support environmental sampling by obtaining, preparing, analyzing, and shipping samples off site, as required. * Perform the on-shift chemistry technician emergency plan duties. * Perform inventories of chemicals, equipment, and supplies. * Maintain the laboratory and instruments in top material condition with good housekeeping. * Perform self-monitoring of radiation dose equivalent and perform associated radiological surveys for chemistry related tasks. * As required, to changeout gas bottles for chemical and counting room instrument; to change resin columns for laboratory demineralized water systems; and to replace chart paper on recorders. * Mechanical Cleaning of Equipment * Paperwork (i.e., review and revise procedures, sign off work packages and surveillances, etc.) * Obtain cable vault sampling * Perform work in Radiologically Controlled Area and/or Contaminated Area as required MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * High School diploma or GED * Ability to pass pre-employment EEI TECH testing * Ability to receive unescorted Nuclear access * Ability to transit to work location (Walk, Stairs, Ladders, Use Elevator, etc.) * Manually carry, lift or handle material * Body positioning (Stand, Sit, Bend, Squat, Crawl, Kneel, Reach over Shoulder Height) * Ability to climb ladders on tanks to obtain dip samples or add chemicals (i.e., diesel fuel storage tanks or diesel coolant tanks) * Ability to operate various Company vehicles and drive vehicles to obtain samples for outside locations * Ability to work different shifts * Excellent communication, teamwork and organizational skills * AND at least one of the following requirements below: * o Bachelor degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent degree OR * o Two years work experience in chemistry OR * o Navy nuclear experience as an Engineering Lab Technician (ELT)

The Summer 2026 Internship Experience is a full time position June 1, 2026 to July 31st, 2026 . All interns will be based out of our main location in Parsons, Kansas. Anticipate the possibility of employer paid travel to project sites, events, and trainings during the internship. Position Summary: The Software Developer Intern position is responsible for the development, support, and maintenance of internally developed programs with a focus on legacy code maintenance and improvement. Development could include integration with existing systems, creation of brand new programs and systems, or a combination of both. Duties and Responsibilities Develops and maintains new internal small-scale applications. Provides support for internally developed programs on an as needed basis Documents program functionality and configuration Collaborates with other developers and other departments within the organization Communicates between different departments regarding system requirements, program specifications, and other related information. Helps define, establish, maintain, and adjust internal software development protocols, procedures, and standards. May perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Specifications: Experience with basic development processes. Experience with any of the following languages: C#/VB C/C++ Java Go Python Experience working with a team of different disciplines. Experience with SQL databases. Communication of technical requirements, concepts, or features with non-technical personnel. Experience managing workload with project scopes, task lists, and other tools. Willingness to learn new technologies, tools, or methodologies to perform tasks. Education and Qualifications: College Level Junior or Senior Desired Majors- Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Development Web application development experience Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of Software Developer Intern, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell.
