Supervision Will report to the Chief Dam Safety Engineer in the Power Plant Engineering Dept. Must be able to work under direct supervision, in a team environment, and independently. Primary Purpose This position will be responsible for managing or contributing to one or more assigned projects. Frequent professional communication and interaction with internal customers is required. By the end of the internship, the intern will have completed a minimum of one assigned project and will present a summary of their project(s) to upper-management. Examples of Duties Essential Responsibilities and Expectations Define problems, research alternatives, and collect/analyze data to determine best processes and methods for a solution. Lead/oversee assigned project(s) of various scope and complexity. Create, input, format, maintain and update a variety of projects, reports and spreadsheets. Regularly and clearly communicate with manager and internal customers on the status of projects. Display professionalism at all times. Present project information at the end of the internship to communicate research, findings and analysis. Typical Qualifications Requirements Full time student or recent graduate in good standing actively pursuing or having earned a degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Geotechnical, or related engineering field. Ability to work a minimum of 320 hours during the 2026 Summer/Fall. Ability to demonstrate professional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent computer skills especially in Excel, Word and PowerPoint Ability to manage multiple tasks. Pass pre-employment drug screening, physical, and criminal background check (as needed/required).
