Role Overview As an Electronic Sales Trader you will be important member of Liquidnet's Low Touch & Algo Desk in the Americas aspiring to leverage you markets and trading experience to provide exceptional client services that drives revenue and incremental client breadth in one of Liquidnet's fastest growing product segments. Role Responsibilities Responsible for meeting trading revenue targets for the electronic desk and working with other teams, regions, and product lines in an effort for them to grow and meet their goals. Work with the team to cover equity algo order flow across US primarily focused on single-stock equities and ETFs. Communicate trading strategies encompassing Liquidnet's core offering. Responsibilities: * Manage the real-time operations of NRG's asset portfolio, including dispatching generation based upon economic conditions and operational constraints., * Take or direct timely and appropriate real-time actions in accordance with ISO rules and procedures. * Coordinate unit availability, outage schedules, unit startup and shutdown times, and communicate all necessary information to plant personnel, ISOs, fuel and trading groups in a timely and professional manor. * Monitor and ensure ancillary services schedules are met to minimize portfolio risk and facilitate system reliability. * Communicate operational and emergency conditions with Balancing Authorities, Reliability Coordinators, Transmission Operators and ISO on a continual basis. * Monitor and analyze available market information to identify dispatching and trading opportunities * Manage dispatching and trading decisions with a continuous focus on balancing risk versus return to produce maximum profitability. * Analyze and evaluate energy transactions to ensure that all relevant aspects including energy price, transmission, counter party, and contractual terms are compliant with NRG's Risk Management Policy. * Interact with various ISO web-based market tools and applications. * Effectively switch between tasks, adapt to shifting priorities while maintaining attention to detail and quality of work. * Exercise the responsibility and authority to implement real-time actions to ensure the stable and reliable operation of the Bulk Electric System. * Comply with applicable NERC Reliability Standards and regional ISO rules and tariffs. * Complete necessary NERC certification and continuing education requirements as applicable Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in economics, business, finance, or other relevant degree or equivalent military or industry expierence. * Competence with mathematics and technical concepts. * Strong analytical and problem solving skills. * Proven ability to take appropriate action within time constraints. * Capable/proficient with Microsoft Suite and web based environments. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Motivated self-starter with ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, forward moving environment. * Applicable experience with any of the following markets: CAISO, ERCOT, MISO, PJM, NYISO, and/or ISONE markets and/or operations * NERC and PJM certification are a plus. * If not NERC or PJM certified, candidate must complete certification within 18 months of hire. * Candidate must complete desk qualification within 12 months of hire. * Candidates will be hired at one of the positions (I, II, III.) based upon their experience, knowledge, skill, and ability to add value to the company. * Candidates must be able to work a 12-hour shift schedule as part of a 24 hour, 7 days a week operation. * Candidates must be able to fulfill storm/event duty requirements. * This job requires working during hurricane, winter storms and other possible catastrophic event conditions. Persons in this role may be required to report to the storm/event duty location(s) and perform the job functions as required. This may include extended shifts as necessary until storm or event conditions reside.
