The Paraeducator will work closely with students, the Special Education Teacher, and a multidisciplinary team (including BCBAs, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, etc.) to implement individualized education plans, support daily routines, and foster student independence and growth. Key Responsibilities: Provide direct support to students with special needs, primarily those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), within a self-contained classroom setting. Assist in the implementation of student Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs). Support students with behavior management strategies and techniques, promoting positive social interactions and adaptive behaviors. Assist students with daily living skills, including toileting, feeding, and other self-care tasks as needed. Facilitate student engagement in academic and functional activities, supporting the Special Education Teacher in lesson delivery and classroom management. Support students with transitions between activities and environments. Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment. Collect data on student progress and behavior as directed by the Special Education Teacher and BCBA. Collaborate effectively with the Special Education Teacher, BCBA, and other related service providers (OT, SLP). Schedule: Workday: 7.5 hours/day Hours: Monday - Friday 7:45 AM - 3:45 PM Start Date: First day of school (anticipated August 26 or August 27, 2025).
