The EAD K-12 Unit is looking for individuals with an earned PhD or EdD who are interested in serving as an adjunct instructor for the unit. We are seeking a pool of candidates that would step into a teaching role on an as-needed basis for our MA, PhD and EdD programs.
Due to the vast array of responsibilities that exist for our faculty, there are times where additional instructors are needed. The ideal candidate would be someone who is interested in gaining graduate level teaching experience in a variety of courses. We are also seeking a candidate who is well versed in teaching adults.
Responsibilities
The candidates hired for an adjunct position at MSU will be the instructor of record for one of our Masters, Ed.D or Ph.D level courses on an as needed basis. The syllabus will be provided to the instructor for the course being taught. The adjunct will be entirely responsible for carrying out the syllabus that the faculty member developed for the course; teaching class sessions, grading assignments, maintaining the course website, maintaining ongoing communication with students, and determining and submitting students' final grades.

The job purpose is to teach Aviation Law in the Aviation Department's Aviation programs. WSU's Aviation Department in the Center for Civics, Culture, and Workforce Development invites applications for its aviation program specializing in aviation law. This aviation adjunct instructor will begin preparing and teaching the aviation law course(s).

* Preparation of Pilot Student interface for each course

* Assist and foster student success through the maintenance of regularly scheduled office hours and timely responses to email inquiries.
* Adhere to all administrative University policies.
* Maintain appropriate professional development to stay current within assigned courses.

Cincinnati State Technical and Community College invites applications for an adjunct faculty position for the Paralegal program. Qualified candidates will need to teach college-level courses to our technical, transfer degree and non-degree seeking students in our Business Division in the area of Law. Responsibilities will include instructing students and providing relevant class/lab experiences. Instruction may take place in a classroom or via distance or online learning web portals. Example of courses that may be taught include Business Law, Employment and Administrative Law, Family and Probate Law, and Legal Research and Writing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Deliver learning-centered instruction by establishing a classroom environment conducive to learning and student involvement as well as effectively planning and preparing for classes and student success.
* Adequately prepare all course materials and lessons. Note preparation time will vary based on instructor experience in teaching that course
* Provide each student with clear course expectations, evaluations and timelines through carefully written topical outlines and approved, standardized syllabus
* Provide interesting and relevant assignments for students that demonstrate learning outcomes in a real-life setting
* Suitably challenge, engage, serve and communicate with students to encourage their participation and learning while maintaining mutual value and respect
* Complete electronic grade books, final grade submission, learning assessments and final exam assessments on a timely basis
* Ensure course and program learning outcomes are delivered as defined by the syllabus.
* Maintain an electronic record in the college's learning management system (i.e., Blackboard, Canvas) of each student's progress and has it available upon request by students and/or appropriate College personnel.
* Facilitates meaningful learning of the course competencies in the curriculum and proactively supports all facets of the learning environment.

Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor Degree in Law, Paralegal studies, or related field from an accredited program.
* At least three (3) years industry or business experience in the teaching subject area.
* Strong computer skills (end user applications).
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to act effectively as a member of a team.
* Ability to interact successfully with academic as well as business and regulatory personnel.
