We are looking for an Estimator with commercial glazing experience who can manage full estimating responsibilities from takeoff through final proposal. The role supports preconstruction and operations teams by producing accurate scopes, competitive pricing, and clear project handoffs for commercial projects across Southern California.
Key Responsibilities
• Review plans and specifications to prepare detailed quantity takeoffs for glass, glazing, storefront, curtain wall, and related systems
• Analyze and interpret project scopes, schedules, addenda, and RFI responses
• Work with vendors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing, lead times, and material availability
• Prepare estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs
• Develop complete proposals with scope clarifications and inclusions or exclusions
• Support project teams with budgeting, value engineering options, cost comparisons, and constructability input
• Participate in preconstruction meetings and turnover sessions to ensure alignment between estimating and field teams
• Maintain organized estimate files and historical cost data to improve accuracy and consistency
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and project partners
Qualifications
• Minimum three years estimating experience for commercial glazing or building envelope systems
• Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, and construction documents
• Experience with commercial projects such as TI, mid rise, schools, healthcare facilities, retail, or mixed use
• Proficiency with takeoff and estimating software
• Ability to produce accurate numbers under deadlines with strong attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and comfort working with both office and field teams
• Background in construction or subcontractor environment preferred

Hybrid schedule or fully in office depending on project load and team needs. Office near Murrieta.

General Summary of the Position
Produce construction cost estimates for assigned proposals. Work alone or in a team to complete all assigned tasks.
Essential Functions include but are not limited to (other duties may be assigned as needed):
Review Plans and Specifications to understand the scope to work.
Analyze the project and prepare takeoffs, detailed estimate setup, subcontractor and vendor RFQs, and follow up on RFQs to ensure quotes are received.
Visit project sites to determine potential problems, verify quantities, and determine options for construction methodology.
Attend pre-bid meetings
Use computer-based software to complete takeoffs, verify field measurements, and obtain information from the Contract Documents to accurately calculate information for estimates.
Proactively communicate with VP of Heavy Civil Estimating and other members of the team.
Assist with preparing Subcontracts and Purchase Orders
Prepare project schedules for estimates.
Prepare reports, business correspondence, and documents.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Assigned tasks are completed on time, in a professional and organized manner.

Required Skills and Abilities:

Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.

Strong understanding of Battery Energy Storage Systems and solar PV technology, components, and installation processes including racking, foundations, cabling, and substation/interconnection scopes.
