What We Are Looking For
High School Diploma or GED required
A Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a similar field is highly preferred; A combination of relevant education and experience would be considered in lieu of degree
RCDD is required
Minimum of five (5) years experience estimating large scale HYPERSCALE data center projects including mission critical data centers and colocation facilities
Structured Cabling/Low Voltage industry experience required
Bluebeam expertise is REQUIRED

The Wireless Estimator is an active technical member of Vision's Estimating team, participating in pre-sales activities as required to generate business. Providing sales support for account managers in new, qualified business opportunities, the Wireless Estimator is responsible for the preparation of material takeoffs and labor estimates on small to medium size projects. This person processes detailed breakdowns of components and elements of estimates for systems. Administration as required including but not limited to various Pre-Sales, Planning, Implementation, and Closing Activities as identified below.
Responsibilities
Interface with distributors and manufacturers to negotiate competitive pricing and strategic advantages with our supply chain.
Develop Labor & Material estimates (BOL/BOM) for each opportunity.
Participate with management and sales team to develop a winning strategy on proposals and quotations.
Accurately generate take-offs and spreadsheets for estimates
Design and estimate small, medium, and large size installations.
Develop well-structured and descriptive scopes of work that best explains how the design completely fulfills the customer's needs.
Plan and manage time and schedule effectively.
Attend Game Plan/Strategy Meeting for the assigned projects.
Negotiate a fair market price with purchasing for material that can be utilized.
Provide Value Engineering options for every estimate.
Generate a price comparison spreadsheet and populate the estimates with the best price.
Set up and run peer checks, P&L reviews, and support capture meetings.
Conduct Labor & Material Estimate (BOL/BOM) Reviews with Business Unit Manager
Participate in post-award handoff meetings, coordinating with Sales, PMO, Procurement, Partners, and any other necessary resources.
Channel & Manufacturers
Obtain vendor certifications.
Meet with vendor reps to develop a relationship for technical unity, best-selling practices,
competitive pricing schemes, the latest in innovation and marketplace direction
Register opportunities to strengthen the obligation of commitment and for price guarantees

7-10 years of experience estimating specific to the job responsibilities.
Knowledge of Public Safety and Cellular DAS design which includes cabling infrastructure, DAS components and Carrier Coordination requirements.
Some knowledge of network design which includes core and distribution switch design, wireless AP design and POE calculations to support other IP devices.
Experience with CommScope, Corning, Solid products is desired.
5 years estimating infrastructure projects with proven track record of successful and profitable project completion for medium to large size companies.
Independent, self-driven, highly customer focused and able to work under minimum supervision.
Some experience working with Microsoft Office and IBWave productivity tools.
