At times there is moving machinery; work must be done in high or hazardous places, and sometimes there is exposure to fumes, airborne particles and vibration. PURPOSE The Job Description is designed to provide clear guidance and communication for what is required for the position of Laborer as defined in three levels I, II, and III. FUNCTIONS OF A SKILLED LABORER The primary function is to be an assistant/helper to help complete the construction tasks within a project. WORKING CONDITIONS Our construction work is usually outside, subject to extremes of temperature and humidity. Each employee should dress and eat/hydrate according to those conditions. Please communicate with Site Foreman/Leadman, which monitors all breaks and in cases of extreme heat/cold accommodates the work required and breaks accordingly. At times there is moving machinery; work must be done in high or hazardous places, and sometimes there is exposure to fumes, airborne particles and vibration. We are seeking an Entry Level Concrete Finisher/General Laborer to join our team, where you will assist with concrete finishing, general labor tasks, and contribute to the successful completion of construction projects. How you'll get to contribute: Operate a variety of hand and power tools and other tools as directed by management. Clean and prepare construction sites as needed, including removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials. Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately to management. Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site on a daily basis. Load and unload construction supplies from trucks. Report incidents immediately to safety director, foreman or HR in accordance with incident reporting procedures established by the company.
