We are seeking a dedicated Construction Labor to join our team on a large-scale construction project in Apex, NC. This long-term project will last for over two years and involves various general construction tasks, including temporary structure setup, signage installation, construction cleanup, pressure washing, and other miscellaneous tasks.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform physical labor at construction project jobsites.
+ Assist with jobsite clean-up, rough carpentry, site logistics, fencing, deck and platform building, protection systems, and construction waste management.
+ Inventory supplies and provide supply orders for re-stocking.
+ Ensure compliance with safety codes, regulations, and company standards.
+ Understand work instructions, project signage, and safety instructions from tool and equipment manufacturers.
+ Inspect tools prior to use to ensure safe and working condition.
+ Participate in daily Pre-Task Plans and follow safety expectations for operation of equipment and tools.
+ Perform selected demolition and participate in activities of subcontractors and suppliers.
+ Review project perimeter for security and cleanliness daily and participate in end-of-day clean-up activities.
+ Perform fire watch duties and construct scaffolding as needed.
+ Manage dumpster vendor schedule and maintain dumpster areas for cleanliness and organization.
+ Perform as spotter for heavy equipment operators.
+ Ensure security of equipment and work area while conducting operations.
+ Identify, communicate, and escalate problems to supervisor for immediate resolution.
+ Track production of completed tasks.
+ Assist other craft workers in their trades as directed.
+ Maintain positive working relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employees.

Summary:

Minimum 3 year experience in residential or commercial construction experience
Proven track record in a Foreman or lead role with direct supervisory responsibilities
Proficient in quality controls, reporting project status, organizing efforts, carpentry, general construction
Strong knowledge of industry-standard tools, safety equipment, and installation best practices
OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification preferred
Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel between job sites
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and scope documents
Physical stamina to work at heights, lift heavy materials, and endure outdoor conditions

Summary:
Laborers for Fessler & Bowman will perform a variety of tasks that aid our skilled workers in the completion of projects. Position Summary:

As a registered apprentice, you will be enrolled in our comprehensive two-year registered apprenticeship program.
