Job Summary: The General Laborer assists in the performance of a variety of plant activities from clean-up, stick laying, packaging, maintenance support, etc. Essential Functions/Duties: Ensure all environmental and safety procedures are followed and report all unsafe or non-compliant activities. Performs a variety of routine physical labor tasks, as assigned. Areas could include maintenance, stacking, kilns, shipping, receiving, treating, yard maintenance. Understand the job assigned and ask questions if uncertain. Perform cleanup at the end of the day or when the job is completed, including picking up tools, spills, and debris, cleaning work areas and performing touch-up work as needed. Perform Fire Watch duties as needed to support the maintenance team. May operate a vehicle, forklift, or tractor. Attend all training sessions and safety meetings Computer duties as necessary.
