General Summary
A Crew Lead oversees the production and safety of a group of employees which may include but not limited to a welder, welder's helper, crane operator and swamper.
Essential Job Functions
1. Regular and reliable attendance.

4. Must possess a current and valid Driver License with clean driving record.
5. Perform and fill out pre-trip vehicle inspection before leaving the yard and check all fluids/tires/lights/ and all signs as listed on pre-trip.
6. Gather appropriate job permits from all crew members for each scheduled job and ensure that they have the correct information.
7. Follow and/or complete the Detailed Daily Work Plan (DDWP) and ensure crew actively participates, knows and follows each procedure.
8. Ensure the crew has the appropriate equipment, tools and supplies to complete the assigned task and have knowledge of all equipment.
9. Perform monthly tool audit of all crew members and ensure compliance of equipment (vehicle registration/ fire extinguisher, etc).
10. Be able to detect welding issues ahead of time to properly guide crew on corrections when needed.
11. Must complete specific KSI PLW Training, Site Specific Training and Customer Required Training.
12. Test the job site for atmospheric hazards and know how to read a monitor.
13. Perform bolt-up procedure to torque specs.
14. Be aware of the dangers associated with hazardous atmospheres and hazards associated with using tools and equipment. Preform a job walk to identify all potential hazards around working area and take procedural actions to mitigate or eliminate if any found.
15. Coach and mentor fellow crew members around applicable safety processes/policies.
16. Develop a general knowledge of KSI PPM-SOPs.
17. Follow all KS Industries, LLC safety, and customer policies and procedures.

Physical & Mental Requirements
Working Conditions: The locations vary from site to site. Work is physically demanding and requires the ability to concentrate well on the job at hand, in all types of weather. Majority of the work is construction-based work. Walking and working surface vary depending on the terrain, from flat to extreme slopes and frozen, wet, snowy and slippery conditions.
Working Hours: Normally, a full-time employee will work 40 hours per week, depending on the factors such as weather and schedules. Work schedules and hours may vary depending on specific client locations and projects. In general, applicable work schedules include 5-8's and 4-10's. All labor laws in reference to rest breaks and meal periods will be followed.

The Role

Turner Industries Group is looking for Laborers for turnaround work in the Commerce City, CO area. The Laborer position is responsible for assisting skilled construction workers in performing their assigned duties and performing a large variety of duties.

High school or equivalent
Tri-watch experience strongly preferred
Ability to follow instructions without being distracted
Post offer drug / alcohol screen, physical evaluation, and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy

Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace
Functional Requirements:
Employee may perform one or more of the following duties: digs, spreads and levels dirt and gravel; lifts, carries and holds building materials, tools and supplies; cleans tools, equipment, materials and work areas; mixes, spreads or pours concrete, asphalt, gravel or other materials; joins, wraps and seals sections of pipe; performs a variety of non-machine tasks, such as removing forms from set concrete, filling expansion joints with asphalt, placing culvert sections in trench, etc.; spends time on one job or may be transferred from task to task as the project progresses to completion; perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
