Community Wildfire Protection Corps (CWPC) Hitch (Camping) Crew Leader LOCATION(S): Serve in communities across Eastern Oregon while working in a Hitch-based 10-day on/4-day off format-mandatory initial training in Eugene, OR, with travel provided from Eastern Oregon. COMPENSATION: Meals and camping accommodations will be provided during the work schedule. $180/day worked, paid monthly (before taxes are taken out) Crew Leads receive 10 training days at $100/workday (before taxes are taken out) PROGRAM DATES: Crew Lead Training 2/9/26 through 2/22/26 ($100/workday) Service Term: 2/23/26 through 5/15/26 ($180/workday) 10-day camping hitches, followed by 4 days off for the duration of the session. Crew camps together 24/7 throughout the 10-day hitch. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT This is a full-time, session-based position.
