Job Description Contractor's Specialty Service Company is the Arkansas contractor of choice for temporary and permanent pavement marking and marking removal services. Our services include long line thermoplastic and paint striping, detail and parking lot striping, airport striping, decorative crosswalks, and pavement marking removal. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Manually load or unload equipment, materials, or supplies · Assist with layout of roadway markings. · Correctly load and secure all loads. · Drive assigned vehicle/equipment as directed to and from job site. Including daily pre-trip inspections of assigned truck and log keeping, as required. Business Group/Dept: Operations FLSA: Non-Exempt Reports To: Supervisor Date: February 14, 2022 Purpose of the Position Safely and efficiently identify, remove, pack, transport, or dispose of hazardous materials, including asbestos, lead-based paint, waste oil, fuel, transmission fluid, radioactive materials, or contaminated soil. Safely demolishes structures using hand tools or mechanical equipment as assigned. Essential Position Responsibilities Removes asbestos from ceilings, walls, beams, boilers, and other structures, following hazardous waste handling guidelines and following safe demolition techniques. Assembles scaffolding and seals off work area, using plastic sheeting and duct tape. Positions mobile decontamination unit or portable showers at entrance of work area. Builds connecting walkway between mobile unit or portable showers and work area, using hand tools, lumber, nails, plastic sheeting, and duct tape. Positions portable air evacuation and filtration system inside work area. Sprays chemical solution over asbestos covered surfaces, using tank with attached hose and nozzle, to soften asbestos. Cuts and scrapes asbestos from surfaces, using knife and scraper. Shovels asbestos into plastic disposal bags and seals bags, using duct tape. Cleans work area of loose asbestos, using vacuum, broom, and dustpan. Places asbestos in disposal bags and seals bags, using duct tape. Dismantles scaffolding and temporary walkway, using hand tools, and places plastic sheeting and disposal bags into transport bags. Seals bags, using duct tape, and loads bags into truck or dumpster. Follows directions of foremen, supervisors, and managers. We are seeking experienced Craft Laborers to help with a commercial construction project in the Little Rock, Arkansas area. Ideal candidates will have strong knowledge of Commercial Labor with a focus on Safety and possess a OSHA30. Responsibilities Perform general craft labor duties in support of commercial construction operations Maintain strict compliance with OSHA regulations, site-specific safety plans, and company policies Identify, report, and assist in correcting unsafe conditions or behaviors Support the safety team with daily hazard mitigation, housekeeping, and site controls Assist with the setup and maintenance of barricades, signage, exclusion zones, and walkways Participate in daily toolbox talks, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and safety meetings Properly use and help enforce PPE requirements for self and nearby workers Inspect tools, equipment, ladders, and work areas for safety concerns Remove damaged or unsafe tools and materials from service and notify supervision Assist during incident investigations, safety audits, and emergency drills as needed Promote a positive safety culture by leading through example on the jobsite Requirements OSHA 30 certification (required) Prior commercial construction or craft labor experience preferred Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices and hazard recognition Ability to clearly communicate safety concerns to supervisors and coworkers Willingness to stop work and escalate safety issues when necessary Physically capable of performing labor tasks in outdoor, active construction environments Reliable, punctual, and safety-minded Benefits: Competitive pay with daily Perdiem ($90) Opportunities for advancement Travel reimbursement Supportive team environment Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life insurance.
