Work Related Knowledge:

Ability to read work plans, blue prints and instruction/operation manuals.
Education:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
Experience:
Five years of recent (within the last fifteen years) multiple trades experience that includes locks, painting, carpentry, drywall, and other minor construction and repair skills in an educational or institutional environment.
Completion of an approved apprenticeship program in multiple trades in electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, drywall, and other minor construction and repair skills.

Job Description
Measures, marks, and arranges materials to established layout based on blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
Cuts and shapes structures, forms, or other fixtures from wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall.
Cut, fit, and then install baseboard, door & window casing and crown molding, according to specific measurements
Uses various hand and power tools to securely build assigned projects.
Joins materials with the most appropriate nail, screw, staple, or adhesive.
Ensures the accuracy of work by checking completed projects with tools such as levels, surveying equipment, or framing squares; corrects problems as needed.
Creates wooden forms for pouring concrete or for tunnels, bridges, or sewer construction projects.
Erects and dismantles scaffolding.
Installs windows, cabinets and doors with the utmost precision.
Adheres to local building and safety codes and guidelines.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
2 years of finish carpentry experience
Ability to understand directions and read blueprints.
Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately.
Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade.
