Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager with a minimum of 2 years of heavy civil constructionmanagement experience to oversee earthwork, mass excavation, and site utilities projects. This role will require a deep understanding of project cost control, scheduling, and field operations, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality. You will manage all phases of construction, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget while developing new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Project Oversight: Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards in alignment with corporate policies.
ConstructionManagement: Direct the on-site Superintendent to monitor and control construction activities, ensuring the project stays on schedule and within budget.

Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the company in project meetings, develop relationships with clients, architects, and engineers, and participate in labor strategy meetings.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and environmental standards on site, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.
Additional Duties: Complete other tasks as assigned by your supervisor and maintain an insurable driving record.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, ConstructionManagement, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of heavy civil project management experience. Experience with mass excavation, site utilities, and cost control is required. Solar farm experience is a plus.
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of construction methods, design, finance, and project management principles. Experience with HCSS is preferred.
Communication: Superior communication and interpersonal skills essential for effective leadership and stakeholder management.
Software: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited Landscape Architecture program.
Proficiency in AutoCAD 2024 or later

Bachelor's degree in ConstructionManagement, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (Master's preferred)
7-10+ years of project management experience, including 3-5+ years in hyperscale or mission-critical data center construction
Proven experience delivering large-scale projects valued at $50M-$500M+
Strong understanding of high-density electrical systems (MV/LV), mechanical cooling systems, backup power, UPS, generators, and BMS/EPMS platforms
Demonstrated ability to manage general contractors, trades, vendors, and design partners
Strong financial acumen in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control
Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills
Willingness to travel and/or relocate as projects transition
Preferred Qualifications
PMP, CM-Lean, or similar professional certification
Experience with advanced cooling technologies such as liquid cooling or immersion cooling

What You'll Be Doing:
Assist the project management team from pre-construction through project closeout.
Help develop and maintain relationships with clients to ensure long-term success.
Support the creation and management of project schedules, coordinating with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
Ensure compliance with safety policies and OSHA standards across all projects.
Assist in managing project activities, collaborating with field superintendents and other resources.
Communicate effectively with staff, clients, and business partners to keep projects on track.
What We're Looking For:
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, ConstructionManagement, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a Project Engineer, ideally with a self-performing heavy civil contractor or similar experience.
Skills:
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Proficiency in CPM Scheduling, Hard Dollar, and the MS Office Suite (including MS Project).
Experience with construction software such as On-Screen Takeoff or Agtek.
Knowledge of Bluestake and familiarity with the Arizona Heavy Civil market is a plus.
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Strong time management abilities to juggle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
