Position Overview
Our superintendents provide overall on-site field supervision for the project site, working with the project management team to develop site logistics plan, job site communications plan, and project procedures. Also inspects construction activities to ensure compliance with established quality procedures and compliance with project plans, specifications, and shop drawings, inspects trade and associated installations, trains assistants and ensures all onsite personnel comply with project procedures. This position does supervise the work of others including construction workers, foremen, assistant superintendent trainees, assistant superintendents, and trade contractor employees.
Duties/Responsibilities
* Develop a clear and concise site logistics, lifting, hoisting, deliveries and site access plan.
* Inspect construction activities in accordance with established quality procedures and evaluate compliance with project plans, specifications, shop drawings and other project related documents.
* Know, understand and consistently enforce Vaughn's safety program and OSHA rules.
* Provide technical assistance, e.g. interpretation of drawings, recommended construction methods and equipment, etc. as required.
* Actively coordinate trade and associated installations in advance to mitigate conflicts due to sequencing, constructability, schedule and/or spatial issues.
* Review plans, specifications, general notes and shop/working drawings for assigned activities prior to performing assigned duties.
* Promote positive communication among employees and works as a team with project management, QA/QC and safety coworkers.
* Assist project management in developing and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc.
* Help create and sustain a positive company image.
* Assist in effectively training assistants and workers to adhere to policies/procedures, submittals, schedules, contracting and motivating assistants to uphold core values by leading through example.
* Develop professional relationship with client and design team to ensure project is delivered successfully.
* Ensure all on-site personnel comply with the project procedures.

Education and Training
* Minimum 10 years of experience as a project superintendent with a constructionmanagement-at-risk, hard bid, or design-build contractor, overseeing multiple projects with per project value in excess of $10 million.
* Experience with healthcare, higher education, and/or laboratory projects with a commercial general contractor preferred.
* Experience with self-performing work in excavation, concrete, and finish carpentry.
* Profitable project track-record.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project Superintendent is responsible to manage a project by leading all crews and subcontractors to get the project completed safely, on time and on budget.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety:

Qualifications
B.S. Degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering or related field with 3 to 5 years of related experience. Prefer at least 3 years' experience in a superintendent role on a contract with a value of $10M+.
Experience supporting excavation and piles or sewer or waste plants; or in Heavy Construction (site-work, roads or environmental).
Strong knowledge of bridge construction methods, structural repair techniques, falsework, formwork, concrete work, and steel retrofits.
Familiarity with TXDOT specifications and standards.
Must be capable of meeting deadlines, self-motivated, detail oriented; have above average interpersonal skills and have excellent follow-through capability.
Verbal and written communication skills are essential to this position.

Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project Superintendent is responsible to manage a project by leading all crews and subcontractors to get the project completed safely, on time and on budget.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety:
• Responsible for overall job safety as per the safety manual for the particular job.
• Insure that test holes are dug where required and marked out and proper protocol is continuously taken to avoid utility strikes.
• Report any damage or incidents on site to the Project Manager.
• Ensure that jobsite meets all OSHA standards including cleanliness.
• Ensure that everyone on the site is following all mandated safety protocols - AHA's and Tool Box Talks.
Administrative:
• Submits daily time sheet each and every workday by 9am the following day.
• Ensure accuracy of time sheets and equipment logs.
• Assist Estimating department in developing estimates for future work.
Scheduling:
• Coordinate all work with Sub-contractors
• Coordinate all Utility requirements with providers.
• Schedule Labor and Equipment with Project Manager and Dispatcher each day by 1:00PM for the following day.
• Submit rolling two week look ahead, updated weekly to Division Manager & General Super
• Determine material needs for upcoming operations and complete take-offs for orders.
Planning:
• Accurately plan for upcoming project operations utilizing varying techniques such as securing site plans to office walls for productivity tracking, 4-week look ahead schedules.
• Review the Estimate Cost Report to determine required manpower and productivity per operation to accurately schedule.
• Meet regularly with Project Manager and/or Project Engineer to review and coordinate upcoming work and needs such as equipment, material, and subcontractors.
Supervision:
• Supervises and ensures that all tasks are carried out by labor forces.
Qualifications
B.S. Degree in Civil, Environmental Engineering or related field with 3 to 5 years of related experience. Prefer at least 3 years' experience in a superintendent role on a contract with a value of $10M+.
Experience supporting excavation and piles or sewer or waste plants; or in Heavy Construction (site-work, roads or environmental).
Strong knowledge of bridge construction methods, structural repair techniques, falsework, formwork, concrete work, and steel retrofits.
Familiarity with TXDOT specifications and standards.
Must be capable of meeting deadlines, self-motivated, detail oriented; have above average interpersonal skills and have excellent follow-through capability.
Verbal and written communication skills are essential to this position.
Ability to performed effectively in a fast paced environment; able to accurately process written documents, perform duties in a timely manner, be highly organized and able to interface; communicate effectively with company, clients and field personnel at all levels.

Field Manager:
You will work hand in hand with partner crews to ensure that the customer experience exceeds expectations. You will be expected to know roofing, siding, insulation, carpentry, sky lights, windows, dry wall, installation, products and materials, peform minor repairs, maintain company vehicles and tools, participate in daily morning meetings, and be responsible for communicating the Honest Abe mission.
Responsibilities
* Visiting, managing, and installing 1 to 2 projects at any given time
* Interacting with property owners, neighbors, crew leaders and team members
* Accurately measuring and verifying each project and placing material orders
* Documentation, photos, before, during, and after installation
* Participate in manditory morning meetings
* Bilingual required:
* Must remain teachable in an ever-changing environment
* Seek and achieve this valley's BEST performance record for the industry
* Ability to conduct a sales call using our proprietary inspection system
* Impeccable documentation, computer skills and data tracking
* All facets of Project Management
* Excellence in Communication for both internal and external customers
* Highest standards for Quality Controls

* Manual labor and assistance as needed
* Preventative measures in Tarping, cleaning and delivery
* Up-grade, up-sell and full consulting appointments in the neighborhood as needed.
* Neighborhood canvasing "Parden Our Mess" communication to other businesses and neighborhoods in the immediate vicinity
* Pre and post inspections
* Photo, documentation and computer interface data reclamation
* Able to work weekends and evenings as necessary
