Eastern Exterior Wall Systems (EEWS) designs, fabricates, and installs exterior walls on buildings throughout the Middle-Atlantic Region. EEWS is one of two operating construction companies owned by Marcon Enterprises, a third-generation family owned and operated holding company, based in Allentown, PA. Effective January 2025, EEWS employees work out of a new plant in Allentown, PA. This position offers hybrid work.
PROJECT MANAGER POSITION
The position is responsible for the successful management and completion of all assigned projects. The
position includes the effective management of field superintendents, other designated support staff as may be assigned, internal peer groups, and all subcontractors and vendors.
At all times professionally represent the Company to our clients and design/construction
teams while conducting our obligations under the terms of our contracts. The Project Manager is responsible for maintaining standard logs and integrating the construction management process into EEWS's operating systems and procedures.
The Project Manager reports directly to assigned Senior Management. Due to continued business growth, we seek to fill this position immediately.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management
Plan, schedule, and lead the execution of the project in adherence to contractual requirements and high-quality standards. Provide material, schedule, and plans to field personnel as required. Prepare monthly analysis/report of actual project performance as measured against budget, schedule, and contract requirements.
Prepare and manage job budgets including comprehensive estimate of labor, material, equipment, and travel. Assure the budgets are adhered to during project execution. Utilize good negotiating skills to procure material and subcontractors, as required.
Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers. Price, submit and negotiate change orders with customers and subcontractors. Prepare and submit monthly applications for payment. Assure timely payment from customers.
Accurately produce quantity take-offs and surveys of exterior wall systems.
Prepare and make submittals as required by the contract.
Walk jobsites regularly and attend job meetings.
Track the development and coordination of key design details.
Track long-lead schedule-critical materials and supply chain.
Team Coordination
Lead weekly internal team meetings consisting of design, engineering, and manufacturing personnel to effectively manage the delivery of EEWS designs.
Assure accurate and timely completion through collaborative interaction with the design / engineering group. Frequently review EEWS shop drawings for conformance to plan. (Design / engineering personnel are not direct reports.)
Participate in external project BIM meetings with the expanded project teams - architect, construction manager, and wall consultants to ensure EEWS plans are implemented.
Manage the delivery of EEWS products to ensure accurate and timely completion through collaborative interaction with the manufacturing group. Frequently visit EEWS production facility to ensure conformance to plan. (Manufacturing personnel are not direct reports.)
Oversee and manage the installation of EEWS products to ensure accurate and timely completion.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of three years of direct construction project management experience required.
Knowledge of how building structures and exterior skins are assembled is highly desirable.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction technology or equivalent experience required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Fluency in CAD and REVIT is desirable, but not mandatory.
Excellent people skills and enjoy collaborating with people.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be willing to travel and feel comfortable walking construction sites and interacting with construction personnel.
Able to represent the Company professionally, ethically, and accurately.

Primary Duties (Oversight of 3rd party installers)

Act as primary site contact with client. Build and maintain a good rapport with GC and/or Customer.
Oversee and ensure 3rd party installer is meeting schedule, sequence, quality.

Review plans, estimate, and schedule work assignments on school site improvements, modification of facilities, and/or new construction projects.

Confer with prospective contractors and solicit formal and informal bids; solicit and review proposals.
Review payment requests.
Coordinate and submit payment applications for projects to assure the timely payment of work completed according to established policies and procedures.
Monitor and assure timely and appropriate development of projects and project schedules.
Coordinates site visits and pre-bid, pre-construction conferences, and attend job meetings as required.
Assists with pre-qualification and post-bid requirements.
Assists with monitoring construction contract compliance.
Prepare reports, maintain project records, and ensure compliance with current standards, codes, and ordinances.
Coordinate and maintain communication and cooperative working relationships with District personnel.
Perform periodic field visits and provide progress reports.
Directs and oversees the planning, design, construction and delivery of the District's capital projects. Monitors the status of projects in progress to ensure the cost effectiveness and efficiency of operations.
Oversees the preparation of Action Items for the School Board of Directors' approval and oversees professional service contracts.
Coordinates assigned construction projects and related activities.
Develops the annual capital budget and Five-Year Capital Improvement Continuous Improvement Plan
Monitors budget spending against project scope and estimate.
Manages cash accounting against project appropriation.
Implements proper controls to ensure integrity throughout the organization.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

STV's Transportation group based in our Douglassville Harrisburg, and Philadelphia, PA offices, is seeking construction inspection managers with experience on PennDOT and PA Turnpike highway and bridge construction projects.
Field Locations in the Lehigh Valley, Northeastern PA and Philadelphia regions of Pennsylvania.
Our upcoming needs are on Construction Inspection projects are located in the Lehigh Valley and Northeastern regions of Pennsylvania, particularly in Carbon, Monroe, Northampton, and Schuylkill Counties as well as in the Philadelphia region.
Clients include the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Districts 4, 5, and 6, and the PA Turnpike Commission (PTC).

AS or BS in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
Have a strong combination of ACI/PennDOT Concrete, NECEPT Asphalt, Traffic Control, Guide Rail, Stormwater Management, OSHA Construction Safety and/or other related certifications.
Strong working experience with PennDOT's and/or the PTC's Construction Documentation Systems, PennDOT's ECMS system, and associated PennDOT i-Pad-based electronic documentation applications. Knowledge of PPCC (PennDOT) and/or Kahua (PTC) project management software is a plus.
Strong knowledge of PennDOT highway and bridge construction specifications, standards, materials, and work methods.
Strong computer skills (MS Excel, Word, Outlook, and pdf software, i.e., Adobe or Blue Beam);
Excellent math skills as required to make linear, area, and volume measurements and calculate items of work in proper measurement and payment units, and review and perform quality checks on the work of the project staff.
Written and verbal communication skills and managerial skills to assist the owner/client in keeping projects on track and within budget, assist in keeping clients and stakeholders informed on project activities and issues, to quickly remedy construction issues so as to avoid rework, change orders, or construction claims, and to support construction inspectors and technical assistants in project inspection and documentation work.
Ability to direct the activities of Construction Inspection staff, advise and mentor the project staff, review contractor's procedures, materials, and work product for conformance with plans and specifications, perform monitoring and documentation of project inspection operations, and work with project team to potentially improve construction methods and resolve construction problems.
Ability to prepare, review and edit written inspection reports on work in progress and completed work, including quantity calculations, materials, methods, and equipment used, and costs, to facilitate witnessing and documenting materials testing and certification processes, and to work with CM and client staff to adjust work schedules as indicated by reports.
Maintain a physical presence on the project site(s) to have a personal knowledge of project issues, to support project CI staff, to support the client and CM staff, and facilitate quick resolutions to construction issues.
Ability to assist client and/or the CM team in documenting and reviewing construction project activities, materials testing, and certifications, tracking status of operations, and providing background information and support for contractor payments and change orders.
Willingness to work in a safe manner and within company, project, and OSHA safety guidelines on a highway/bridge construction site and guide the project staff in matters of safety.
Possess a valid driver's license and vehicle and be able to safely operate a personal vehicle along, approaching, and/or within construction zones, including detour routes.
Be able to work nights and weekends when required by our clients and project construction schedules.
Ability and willingness to attend training sessions and classes to obtain additional inspection and safety certifications and maintain certifications, and to encourage and assist CI staff in attending training and obtaining/maintaining certifications.
Advises clients on construction activities with regard to federal, state, and local environmental rules and regulations.
Supports CI staff and clients in documentation and resolution of issues regarding environmental permit requirements, public safety and traffic control, and site safety.
