Responsibilities:
Supervise team members in all aspects of mechanical construction operations
Coordinate with key internal and external personnel to establish job schedules and priorities
Communicate work schedules, job priorities, etc., to on-site personnel
Order materials and supplies to facilitate project completion
Conduct periodic/spot inspections of assigned projects
Complete and submit all required documentation
Ensure projects are completed in a timely, efficient manner
Coordinate with other departments/organizations to maintain established timelines
Passing on to other workers the instructions received from supervisors and getting work started, e.g., by assigning the immediate tasks to be performed by individual members of the group led
Work along with other workers and setting the pace

POSITION PURPOSE:
Performs secretarial duties and provides administrative support to the area superintendent. Provides support to school based administrative staff and interacts with Central Office staff, school staff, and the general public.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs)
Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Google Apps;
Considerable knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting procedures;
Effective time management skills;
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to calmly route concerns to appropriate staff;
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form using a variety of communication techniques and tools to ensure the appropriate flow of information, collaborative efforts, and feedback;

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs secretarial duties and provides administrative support to the area superintendent.
Serves as the initial contact person for visitors and answers incoming phone calls to the office.
Manages the office in the absence of the area superintendent.
Processes confidential materials such as principal evaluations and telephone messages.
Assists school administrators and secretaries by providing answers to varied questions or directing them to appropriate personnel.
Assists with managing various budgets in the area superintendent's office.
Prepares board materials to be submitted to the Board of Education.
Schedules interviews and corresponds with applicants, as directed.
Generates effective correspondence, presentations, reports, and other documents as directed by the area superintendents.
Purchases office supplies, equipment, and miscellaneous items (i.e., books, pens, banners, etc.).
Facilitates travel arrangements and conference registrations for the area superintendent.
Performs other related duties, as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position operates in a professional office and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, scanners, and copiers. The position, at times, must be able to come into direct contact with school system staff, parents, staff members of external agencies, and the community. Work is considered light physical work, requiring the exertion of up to ten pounds of force. The work frequently requires driving automotive equipment.
