POSITION PURPOSE:
The Assistant Construction Manager - Infrastructure (Utility Scale Solar & Storage) will support the Construction Manager with all phases of construction project(s). The Assistant Construction Manager will assist with day to day inspections and verifications of civil, mechanical, and electrical tasks completed by the EPC contractor. This individual is highly analytical and detail-oriented, keeping budget and cost awareness in mind at all construction phases.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* PROJECT MANAGEMENT
* Construction Program/Job Site Setup: Supports Construction Manager in implementation of Construction Program/Logistic Plan, including quality control procedures, safety and security practices, field office location, laydown yard, temporary utilities, final utility POCs, staging areas, equipment, and manpower.
* Construction Oversight: Collaborates with project staff to create a strategic action plan and cost estimates of materials, time, labor, and other resources required to complete the project. Ensures compliance with codes, guidelines, best practices, and policies. Assists in tracking punch list items and collecting closeout documents.
* Inspections: Works alongside Construction Manager to review and coordinate any corrections with design team.

Oversee EPC Contractor's QA/QC process of Posts, Racking system/Trackers, Modules, Harness system, Inverters, AC/DC wiring systems, Substation, Fencing, etc. Enforces site specific quality requirements and trade specifications. Collaborate with EPC Contractors in addressing and mitigating any quality related deficiencies. Oversee EPC Contractor's Commissioning process and collaborate with the onsite Commissioning Consultant to minimize corrective work and associated delays. Manage the punchlist and inspection process for efficient project closeout. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Have a minimum of 2-5 years experience, running ground up multifamily and hotel construction in a supervisory role Working knowledge of all Trades (ability to read and understand specifications for all trades), and prior experience as a foreman or journeyman.
OSHA 10 hour training or equivalent
CPR and First Aid certified
Intermediate level in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
Advanced level in Microsoft Project
Intermediate to advanced level in Procore
Experience in BIM, LEAN and LEED practices a plus
Intermediate to advanced level understanding of digital images (how to open, view, customize and print them)
Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize work assignments
Extreme attention to detail
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work outside year round in all types of weather conditions
Availability to work extended hours as required by weather conditions or urgent circumstances
Ability to travel throughout all areas of construction sites during all phases of a project
Hearing and visual capabilities to safely handle the hazards encountered in the work environment
Ability to lift heavy objects as encountered in the work environment
Ability to raise, lower and climb various types of ladders
Motor vehicle driving record that is consistent with Company and insurance carrier standards and policies
Uses cellular and electronic mail communication tools effectively so as to continuously remain within communication range of other company managers
