Responsibilities Ensure job safety by incorporating safety measures in job planning and execution, promoting accountability among staff and subcontractors, and actively participating in all safety-related functions. Maintain quality control for both company and subcontractor work, addressing any repetitive quality issues with subcontractors or vendors to upper management. Develop and implement pre-job plans, make necessary adjustments, and create material handling and site utilization plans. Participate in project scheduling to ensure alignment with job planning. Complete assigned tasks during pre-job planning sessions and manage mobilization efforts. Coordinate and supervise all company workforces on the project, including hiring and firing of hourly personnel, and ensure proper indoctrination and accountability. Develop and mentor Assistant Superintendents, Coordinators, Engineers, Foremen, and craft persons. Conduct personnel evaluations, development, and retention, setting expectations, providing feedback, and recommending promotions, transfers, or terminations. Coordinate and schedule all subcontractors, holding weekly scheduling meetings with subcontractors' Foremen. Develop forms and special construction methods to enhance job efficiency. Maintain accurate timekeeping and cost records, reviewing labor recaps and cost controls to identify areas needing attention and initiate corrective actions. Expedite vendors and subcontractors daily and weekly. Ensure proper inspection of received materials for quantity and quality, and submit properly signed and coded receiving tickets. Review equipment needs with supervisors. Participate in Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings, ensuring that Owner and Owner's Representatives are informed of schedule changes and potential conflicts. Maintain sensitivity to customer or neighbor special requirements to ensure satisfactory relations. Maintain comprehensive project logs. Essential Skills Experience in construction, subcontractor management, and project management. Experience with data centers, fiber optics, copper fiber, low voltage, and electrical systems. Familiarity with QA/QC, low voltage, and construction scheduling. Experience with outside plant (OSP) and inside plant (ISP) environments. Proficiency with OPC - Oracle Primavera Cloud and Oracle Smart Construction. Understanding of CPM - Critical Path Method of project management. Additional Skills & Qualifications 3 to 7 years of experience with electrical/low voltage systems. Experience supervising communications systems installation. Experience supervising outside/inside plant cabling installation. Experience supervising structured cabling systems installation. PMP or BICSI - RTPM (Certified Technology Project Manager) certification. Desirable credentials include BICISI Certified Cable Installer, RCDD - Registered Designer. Experience as a Security Systems Integrator, Audio Visual Systems Integrator, or Communication System Integrator. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business.
