Position Overview

Qualifications
Education:

· Strong knowledge of building codes, ADA laws, and industry standards.
· Experience with site development, steel and wood framing, MEP coordination, and interior finishes.

The Position:

Position Summary:

What you'll do:
The successful Superintendent will communicate and interact with owners, architects, engineers, government officials, and the public in a clear, concise, and professional manner. The Superintendent coordinates all site construction activities and supervises all field personnel as required to successfully complete the project on schedule and on budget. This includes maintaining the highest quality, supervising all trade and field personnel, and managing exemplary construction safety practices for all on-site activities. You will create and maintain positive, professional, and respectful relationships and maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized job site at all times.
Your duties will include:
Develop, maintain, and execute the project plan as laid out by the Project Manager and yourself.
Ensure a complete knowledge and understanding of all contract drawings, specifications, addenda, RFIs (requests for information), and any other job-related contracts and information for each project.
Supervise and coordinate all construction activities.
Supervise, direct, coach, and train Assistant Superintendents, Ironmark's General Laborers, and Field Interns.
Create site specific plans and procedures that adhere to safety and record keeping requirements and Ironmark's Safety Program to ensure a safe work environment.
Obtain necessary information from engineers, designers, inspectors, municipal/provincial authorities, and owners.
Maintain (1) set of complete, up-to-date drawings, including RFIs, etc., on jobsite for Ironmark use and architect/client meetings.
Manage job site setup and startup processes to include safety posting and procedures, security practices, field office location and layout, temporary utilities, staging areas, equipment, and manpower.
Develop and refine a computerized project schedule, working in conjunction with the Project Manager to confirm schedules are properly updated to meet various dates required and/or maintain accountability for delays.
Prepare work orders and field change orders and provide daily reports for all projects.
Coordinate, direct, and monitor subcontractor schedules via email and verbally.
Inspect and oversee the activities of the subcontractors for safety regulation compliance and completion of their contractual requirements.
Supervise receipt of supplies and all other onsite labor for safety, quality, accuracy, and workmanship.
Prepare and communicate RFIs with architects, engineers, etc.

Wage:
Starting at 80k annually depending on experience
Responsibilities:
Oversee site safety first and foremost
Monitor quality control regarding work being performed on-site
Monitor all work to ensure that it complies with plans and specifications.
Assist with development and Management of Project Schedules with the Project Manager
Record and send completed Daily Progress Reports to the Project Managers each day.
Maintain a clean site
Schedule, Direct and Coordinate Subcontractor work and material purchases
Monitors the progress, performance and quality of all subcontractors' work.
Implement and monitor the Safety Program for the Project and ensure all Subcontractors comply with the Safety Program (Toolbox meetings).
Coordinate and schedule all Project Inspections.
Responsible for review and analysis of Cost Report and Labor Hours Information.
Maintain communications with the Project Manager on administrative portions of the project.
Monitor daily needs to ensure that all material is delivered when required. Verify the accuracy of packing lists and transfer all paperwork to the Admin Department and Project Managers.
Inform the Project Manager of project construction problems, which could affect the company.
Responsible for project completion on time, with minimal punch list.
Stay informed of codes, technology, safety requirements and practices.
Coordinate with clients to ensure satisfaction with respect to work completion and deal with complaints to their satisfaction, while not jeopardizing project profitability.
Prepare purchase orders and email in daily to office.
Verify accuracy of time worked along with cost codes and description of work and enter into time software daily.
Attend monthly safety meetings, typically the third Tuesday of each month (virtually)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The ability to read and understand plans, specifications, sub-contract agreements, and enforce quality control
The ability to communicate with employees and other staff in English sufficiently to understand and easily be understood
The ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide sufficiently to figure change orders, time cards and carpentry calculations
The ability to stand, bend, lift and stoop for extended periods of time.
The ability to give direction and orders in a way to achieve expected results without creating undue tensions and disturbance.
The ability to use various tools and equipment to assure project quality, performance and cleanliness.
The ability to foresee events and anticipate changes in conditions and operations and react to those appropriately.
The ability to give discipline and praise in a constructive and positive manner.
Requirements:
3+ years of building and Construction Management experience
Strong communication skills and work ethic
Valid driver's license

Duties and Responsibilities: Direct communication with customers throughout entire project to ensure excellent customer service.
Management and scheduling of direct report Carpenters.
Ensures technical problems with installations and troubleshooting assignments are communicated to the Regional Construction Manager.
Ensures material, supplies, permits, licenses, and inspections are obtained by Foremen and Carpenters in a timely and efficient manner.
Ensures the timely and quality completion of all construction and carpentry projects.
Ensures adherence to the construction scope detailing time and material specifications, and communicate to the management any discrepancies in the scope.
Assists in change order estimating, approval process and documentation.
Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment.
Ensures the productivity of all Construction division employees.
Review job cost reports to monitor labor and material expenses.
Schedule, price, and monitor subcontractor performance
Comply with all verbal and written safety practices including the use and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Read and comprehend all applicable MSDSs for chemicals that require special handling and use of PPE.
Adhere to and enforce all company policies specified in the Employee handbook and DSI safety manual.
Drive a company vehicle to locations designated by customers.
Execute all work to meet or exceed applicable federal, state and local regulations and company and customer quality standards while providing world-class customer service.
Always keep a clean and neat jobsite leaving a first-class impression of our work.
Establish and maintain a schedule to ensure all services are delivered in a timely fashion, above the line, professionally and with empathy including participation in “On-Call rotation” which involves some nights and weekend assignments.
Perform other duties as required. These duties may include job functions that are outside the scope of normal job duties.
