We are currently seeking skilled Superintendents to join our growing team. As a Superintendent you will provide on-site leadership for major industrial, retail, grocery and commercial projects throughout the region. The Superintendent is responsible for all field related activity such as jobsite safety, cost, quality, and schedule on one or more projects, depending on scope and scale of the work.
* Provide on-site coordination for all phases of the construction projects including coordinating subcontractors, material, and equipment
* Develop, guide and train onsite personnel and subcontractors
* deliver strategic solutions for clients
* Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
* Provides on-time and high quality construction planning and execution
* Proactively identify and track project critical items to manage risk and prevent schedule delays
* Manage general costs and resources to maximize project profitability
* Manage relationships with clients and vendors to ensure seamless conflict resolution, account maintenance, and overall development of client relationship
* Provide leadership in safety by maintaining clean, safe working conditions
* Conduct safety meetings, training and file timely accident reports
* Perform additional assignments and assume additional responsibilities as needed
Requirements
Commercial Construction Superintendent Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
5+ years of experience in commercial construction; retail and industrial experience a plus
2+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, preferred
Deadline and detail-oriented in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Extensive construction experience in building multiple projects types (especially grocery stores, retail, industrial and remodel projects)
Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint)
Enthusiasm for travel
Technology minded
Must be eligible to work in the US and have a valid drivers license

Headquartered in beautiful Carlsbad, CA, we are a full-service Design-Build company. We offer management of projects throughout the United States, with our field operations' team members who work on location for each of our projects. We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction for both public and private clients, with a primary focus in the Department of Defense market.
We are looking for Construction Superintendent candidates to join our Field Operations team for projects located at King's Bay, Georgia (located on an active military base). Superintendents are responsible for the daily supervision, direction, and coordination of all construction work activities, assigned employees, and subcontractors on a project job site, to safely produce quality work, within the project requirements (i.e., RFP, plans, specifications, and proposal documents) targeted budget, schedule, and in alignment with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. Candidates local to projects will be given priority, though relocation to on-site management may be required for the Superintendent position.
Pay: $110-$150K per year

REQUIREMENTS:
* A high school diploma or GED is the minimum formal education required for this position.
* College courses or degree in construction management, engineering, etc. preferred.
* Five or more years work experience in a Superintendent position (e.g., scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control, safety, and production of all phases in construction) on medium-sized projects is required with four or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience in the construction industry required; government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred. Work in the design-build industry and on large-sized projects is preferred.
* Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, etc.) required.
* Specific software literacy (Primavera 3/6, Viewpoint, BIM, Revit) preferred.
* CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour Certifications, EM-385, and STS required; Training can be provided.
* Spanish-English bilingual skills desirable.
* LEED GA/AP Credential desirable.

We are looking for a Superintendent who has built a variety of ground up commercial construction projects including healthcare, municipalities, K-12, and commercial. Our projects are in the greater metro Jacksonville area, across the southern border of Georgia and down to central Florida.
They must be comfortable overseeing the entire operation of the construction site including scheduling and communicating with our trade partners. They should be able to determine and address any risk areas in order to maintain the safety of workers and maintain quality. This candidate should be experienced in communicating project milestones with clients and other parties, and be able to establish a timeline for completion.

Position Responsibilities
Ability to run profitable projects from $5M - $50M or more
Perform weekly safety inspections and/or weekly safety meetings
Interpret project scope, clarifications, prints, specifications, addendums, change orders, etc. and execute the work processes
Perform work in compliance with the Company Safety Program and OSHA Standards
Scheduling of subcontractors and manpower
Order materials, tools, and equipment as may be required for the work onsite
Effectively communicate between subcontractors and owner, architect and/or project manager, etc.
Execute and maintain all records onsite in an orderly and timely fashion
Schedule all non-building material during the project start up phase
Prepare and meet with subcontractors and suppliers at a pre-construction meeting to verify site and building layout/dimensions and report any inconsistencies with the project manager
Minimum Qualifications
At least a High School diploma or GED required
5+ years of field experience as a Superintendent or General Foreman strongly preferred
Previous experience supervising subcontractors
A safety first mindset
Familiar with technology: ProCore, SmartSheets, BlueBeam, Excel
The ideal candidate has the ability to solve problems with limited direction
Physical Requirements of the job:
