Job Description
Allied Universal Technology Services is hiring a Project Superintendent - Data Center Construction to oversee daily site operations, short-term scheduling, and ensure security system construction progresses on time, within budget, and according to specifications. This hands-on role requires working daily from a trailer in an active construction site environment. The Project Superintendent will work closely with the General Contractor (GC) and report directly to the AUTS Project Manager to ensure seamless project execution.
The role is based in Richland Parish, LA.
This is not a general construction role-it's a specialized position focused on electronic security system integration within complex infrastructure projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Open and secure the job site daily, conduct daily site walks and expect to spend up to 80% of time in the field (either walking or driving)
Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to maintain project timeline
Supervise AUTS installation technicians and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to contract, schedules and quality standards while installing security systems
Communicate daily site activities, maintain site logs, and provide project status updates to the Project Manager
Coordinate with the GC and AUTS teams to align with project milestones and resolve site issues
Ability to read and understand blueprint and schematic readings
Assist with budgeting, bidding, permits, and subcontractor awards
Manage ASIs (Architect's Supplemental Instruction), RFIs (Request for Information), material submittals, and coordinate required inspections
Oversee quality control and ensure work meets project standards
Identify and address safety, compliance, and construction conflicts
Keep the job site clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):
High school diploma or equivalent
Current driver's license if driving a company vehicle, or personal vehicle in the course of conducting business (e.g., client visits, attending networking events)
Experience in the electronic security industry, specifically with access control, surveillance (CCTV), intrusion detection
Minimum of three (3) years of construction or installation supervision experience
Expertise in safety enforcement, equipment oversight, and site coordination
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Physical ability to conduct site walks and lift up to 100 lbs as needed
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):
Exposure in large-scale construction, single-site data center projects with 100+ contractors
Strong ability to work with General Contractors and internal stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-demand environment

Daily assists the construction superintendent in directing the daily activities and personnel of a construction project. Ensures compliance with technical specifications and keeps the Superintendent informed of potentially critical circumstances or incidents.
Responsibilities & Duties
Direct subcontractors as needed to enforce the Superintendent's schedule.
Read, understand and enforce company policies and procedures. Plan and execute the assigned work in accordance with those policies and procedures.
Prioritize construction activities and associated trade work utilizing scheduling software and other programs such as Microsoft Office & Internet applications.
Assist in cost containment.
Ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment with procurement logs & calculate material quantities.
Identify areas of improvement and cost savings and communicate to Superintendent.
Enforce Safety Procedures.
Responsible for explaining worksite policy, project goals, and safety procedures to workers.
Assure the safety of employees and individuals working on the job site.
Take necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
Ensure power tools and equipment are used according to manufacturer's guidelines and industry regulations.
Establish positive working relationships with all stakeholders, including owners, subcontractors & inspectors
Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
Two years of experience in construction leadership preferred, including skills in a trade or craft
Must understand verbal and written instructions and safety rules; read safety signs and warnings
Must be capable of reading and producing work from blueprints and drawings
Fundamental knowledge of the activities of workers supervised
Knowledge of operating various craft tools
Knowledge of equipment rigging compressors, winches, snorkels, and welding equipment helpful
The ability to operate a forklift and crane is helpful
Framing experience desirable
Bilingual in English & Spanish helpful

Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for the entire life cycle of a project from inception through closure. Ensure the project is delivered safely in accordance with the company's budgetary, schedule-driven, and quality parameters while exceeding the customer's expectations.
Responsibilities
Maintain a safe and secure work environment through active participation in site planning with job hazard analysis reviews and approvals, on-site tool box talks, and conducting site walks with the project team. Responsible for execution of the project throughout its life cycle.
Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal legal requirements.
Responsible for conducting and documenting operational project meetings (Hand-Off Meeting, Kick-Off Meeting, etc.) with appropriate parties in a timely manner.

Manage the project's Accounts Receivables by developing the pay applications schedule of value to ensure timely and accurate billings and collection of our payments to maintain a positive cash position.
Manage the project's Accounts Payables by working with the Accounting and Legal Departments to ensure that subcontractors and vendors are paid in a timely fashion and all risks associated with payments are mitigated.
Responsible for obtaining and coordinating appropriate lien waivers, state notifications, tax documentation, and permits for the project.
Responsible for ensuring the project's budget and scope are always aligned through the change management process.
Daily project requirements include but not limited to: attend jobsites meetings, schedule deliveries, perform project site documentation, review jobsite labor reports with supervision, tool/equipment rental requisition, coordinate job progress, material and consumables requisitions, preparation and tracking of request for information, assist supervision with permitting and inspections, approve vendor/sub invoices, status reports, monthly billings and collections.
Build and maintain strong relations with internal team members, the customer, subcontractors, and vendors.
Monitor status of Risk Management items, including Notices to Proceed, contract agreement (including change orders), insurance policies, and bonds.
Responsible for close-out documents including operations and maintenance manuals, equipment start-up documents, as-built requirements, warranty letters, and Owner-training items.
Responsible for managing all warranty work falling within contractual obligations if applicable.
Coordinates the start-up and commissioning processes with the project team members, subcontractors, the customer, and any other external party involved to ensure compliance in a timely manner.

5+ years of experience in one of the following sectors: mechanical engineering design and/or project management, mechanical construction, or facilities management.

Assistant Superintendent

Cleveland Construction is seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our team to assist in planning, scheduling, and directing activities of subcontractors and workers. Primary goal is to ensure work conforms to specifications, adheres to schedules and coordinates site safety program following company safety manual.
Skills/Knowledge:
* Have a working knowledge of all project documents, including specifications, plans, submittals, subcontracts, shop drawings, and any other project specific documents
* Implement and enforce the company's safety policies, site specific safety programs, and promote a safety culture on the jobsite at all times
* Must be able to clearly communicate by verbal, written, or electronic means to all members of the project team
* The ability to assist the superintendent with scopes, people, material, tools and equipment to manage the project successfully
* Plan, direct, manage, oversee, and document all daily activities on the project site with the superintendent

* Implement, manage, and maintain a worker orientation program for all new workers on the project

* Must be able to move, carry, or position items weighing up to 75 pounds.
Computer / Technology:
* Proficient in the use of personal computers including iPad/tablet device
* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and related construction software
* Basic knowledge of uploading and managing web based document storage
Education / Experience:
* Preferred four (4) year degree in a construction-related curriculum or equivalent field experience
* Minimum of 1 year of field experience in the commercial construction industry
* OSHA 10 Required/OSHA 30 preferred
* Demonstrated leadership abilities to manage and direct on-site project teams to successful completions

The Area Superintendent's responsibility includes managing the overall day-to-day supervision of field related construction activities for the project. Responsibilities include: implementation and enforcement of safety policies, directing craft personnel and subcontractors; scheduling and sequencing the day to day activities of work; overseeing individual projects to assure compliance with the scope and quality as established by the contract documents; proactively anticipating and solving problems that could delay construction; promoting and instilling BLHI's values into the workforce; managing the permit and inspection process, physically inspecting projects to monitor progress and compliance with project standards; maintaining QC/QA files and updating as-built drawings; and assist in regularly scheduled progress meetings
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
* Ensuring that all projects are performed in accordance with contractual and quality standards and up to code
* Scheduling and directing the daily activities of work and taking necessary action to assure that the project objectives of cleanliness, safety, price, schedule, quality and process are met
* Development, procurement, and enforcement of safety policies and procedures
* Maintaining daily paperwork such as timecards, field reports, schedule updates and E-mail correspondence to keep the various people involved with the project informed of important issues
* Implementing incremental project schedules that make sure upcoming events are on track and are being proactively attended to
* Promoting and maintaining a culture that supports our corporate principles
* Conducting and/or attending pre-construction, progress and other project and staff meetings
* Monitor staffing needs, evaluate performance, and address employee relation issues as warranted for field staff
Requirements:
* Must be able to manage employees and have strong leadership skills
* Must have experience in general contracting (concrete, steel erection, light gage metal framing, interior & exterior finishes, and display advanced MEPF systems)
* Must have thorough knowledge of OSHA's requirements for construction safety and have attended an OSHA 10 hour certification in the last five years
* Must be able to read and decipher construction documents
* Must be able to identify quality workmanship as it relates to building codes, industry standards, and contract documents
* Must be able to produce, maintain, and direct the project schedule
Qualifications and Experience:
* 5 years' experience as a project superintendent with 15 years of total construction experience
* Experience in construction management, commercial/hospitality, buildings and infrastructure
* Experience managing project budgets, developing and maintaining schedules, and owner relationships
* Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
* Must be open to relocation
