Job Description: Construction Superintendent / (Project Manager)

Position Summary
The Construction Superintendent / Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all phases of a construction project, from initial planning and scheduling to execution and closeout. This dual-role professional will manage on-site construction activities while also maintaining high-level project coordination, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, within scope, and on budget.
This role combines strong leadership, scheduling, and field supervision skills with project management oversight and stakeholder communication.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and work plans
Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure alignment on goals and deliverables
Oversee procurement and delivery of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services
Track project costs and manage budget control measures, including change orders
Monitor project progress and prepare weekly/monthly reports
Field Supervision (Superintendent Duties):
Manage through direct reports day-to-day on-site construction activities
Ensure work is performed in compliance with plans, specifications, codes, and quality standards
Supervise external stakeholders (General Contractor, Sub-Contractors, Regulatory and Inspection Consultants/Professionals)
Enforce safety protocols and compliance with OSHA standards
Conduct regular site inspections and lead daily Project Meeting
Resolve on-site issues, delays, and conflicts proactively
Communication & Coordination:
Serve as primary point of contact for the field team and subcontractors
Liaise with clients and stakeholders to provide progress updates and resolve concerns
Conduct and lead site meetings, including progress and coordination meetings
Maintain clear project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and daily logs
Closeout:
Oversee final inspections, punch lists, and commissioning
Ensure delivery of as-built drawings, warranties, and O&M manuals
Coordinate demobilization and site cleanup
Support client handover and post-completion reviews
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred)
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in construction management and site supervision
Proven experience managing commercial, industrial, or infrastructure construction projects
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Primavera P6)
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and contracts
OSHA 30 certification (required or obtainable)
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites

**Compensation: Constructiv** is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The annual salary for this role is $131,200.00 - $196,900.00 USD. Summary/Objective:
The Senior Project Manager will work with the project team to provide overall management direction for two or more projects, estimate specified work packages and develop new business opportunities relative to a particular client, group of clients, or geographical area.

The Construction Manager is responsible for the management of construction efforts through inhouse and contract labor for all construction projects. Responsible for construction safety and quality of work performed.

Essential Job Duties
Coordinate communications within Augusta Health for all project-related service interruptions to access utilities and traffic in order to minimize conflicts and avoid construction delays.

Oversee the construction project from start to finish.
Perform a key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed.

Coordinate the efforts for all parties involved in the project, which include the architects, consultants, contractors, sub-contractors and laborers.

Coordinates with team in design development of project sketch installation and location of equipment such as amplifiers, power supplies and cables; complete material orders needed for planned construction.
Monitor contractor performance; insure adherence to terms and conditions of agreements.
Coordinate construction efforts through in-house and contract labor for new construction and rebuild projects.
Perform site inspections for quality control.
Coordinate permitting.
Generates complex project reports.
Creates and maintains project files.
Be familiar with specifications, show drawings, and submittals.
Maintain projects lists and close out documentation.
Interface with general contractors and subs and be detail oriented with follow up skills.
Responds to inquiries from department personnel regarding assigned project status.
Assists department personnel in organizing work relating to specific assigned project deadlines.
Prepare daily reports of project activities and other reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations and conclusions.
Coordinate and assist with final inspections: monitor completion of the punch list.
Monitor and document change orders from initiation to completion of construction and payment.
Review and recommend approval of payment to contractors for quantities of materials received or used and work completed during specific periods.
Review projects at end of warranty period for non-compliance items.
Performs other duties as requested by supervisor.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree required in Architecture, Engineering, Construction, or appropriate related field.
Licensure/Certification: Required licensure/certification(s)
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction projects is required.
Driver's License: Yes
To drive an Augusta Health Vehicle, must also be 21 years old and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) must be approved by Risk Management.

Summary/Objective:
The Senior Project Manager will work with the project team to provide overall management direction for two or more projects, estimate specified work packages and develop new business opportunities relative to a particular client, group of clients, or geographical area.
Essential Functions:

ACI's Project Managers oversee all aspects of planning and implementing the delivery of our commercial construction projects, including Mechanical, Plumbing, Sheet Metal, HVAC, Electrical, Fire Protection (sprinkler), and our respective subcontractors. * Build and maintain a positive relationship with internal project teams, our customers, subcontractors, and key vendors. Builds positive morale on the project site
* Coordinate with various internal departments such as pre-construction, sales, safety, purchasing, CAD/BIM, and fabrication shops as well as client personnel and others to:
* Develop and maintain a construction plan and schedule
* Scope out vendor quotes and purchase equipment and material
* Scope out subcontractors and issue subcontracts
* Provide guidance for the fabrication schedule
* Daily monitoring of key metrics (manpower, material/equipment deliveries, etc..) and mentoring site leadership to support the timely execution and completion of the work within budget with no defects or accidents
