• Ensures that all change orders are properly executed and indicated on ‘as-built' plans.
• Conducts ‘Punch Out' process throughout and at conclusion of project.
• Mentors, trains and develops support personnel.
• Ensure all required regulatory inspections are obtained and passed in a timely manner.
• Ensures general conditions budget is met.
• Directs and ensures that all OSHA regulations and safety policies and procedures are followed and necessary safety equipment is on site; safety meetings are adequately attended by company personnel and subcontractor crews; daily site safety walks are conducted and corrective action is taken; and that good housekeeping practices are observed and maintained by company personnel and subcontractors.
• Maintains good relationships with project managers, owners, engineers, inspectors, architects, subcontractors and other key stakeholders.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Manages 1-10 subordinate supervisors and subcontractors who supervise a total of up to 100 employees on the jobsite. Is responsible for their overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of all processes. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

What YOU will do:
· Studies Project Manual, job specifications and construction drawings to ensure timely start and finish, safety, quality of work and subcontractor performance for each phase of construction.
· Ability to understand the scope of work, evaluate and recommend means and methods typical with industry standards, estimate the time involved, and take initiative with fundamental scheduling changes to minimize cost and time.
· Manage and work alongside construction crews in the installation and/or repair of concrete, asphalt paving, structural steel, cabinetry, countertops, flooring, electrical, painting, plumbing, HVAC, and other construction tasks as needed in a live retail environment.
· Must be present on the jobsite as defined by program expectations.
· Ensure blueprints and plans are followed precisely. Evaluate risks that impact successful delivery of blueprint intent but may not be obtainable.
· Provide Daily reporting on project status with photos through project management applications as needed. Accurately detail completion and certification of projects.
· Successfully coordinate and facilitate the RFI process.
· Interface with local permitting authorities to ensure compliance and successfully coordinate required inspections including permit closeout.
· Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
· Ability to operate equipment such as Forklifts and Scissor Lifts
· Willing to travel a minimum of 14 weeks at a time across the U.S or as determined by the Project Manager.
· Must be willing to travel by air.
· Night and weekend work is required.
· Responsible for final handoff confirming all tasks are complete and correct.
· Hands on work for 20% of the time. (Examples: installing a paper towel holder or hardware)

Job Type: Full-Time
Jennings Mechanical is seeking an experienced Mechanical ConstructionSuperintendent to oversee field operations on commercial and industrial mechanical construction projects across South Carolina. This role is responsible for driving safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of work in the field.
The Superintendent serves as the primary on-site leader and works closely with Project Managers, Foremen, subcontractors, inspectors, and customers to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to Jennings Mechanical standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise all on-site mechanical construction activities
Manage mechanical foremen, apprentices, helpers, and subcontractors
Plan daily work activities and maintain short-term look-ahead schedules
Ensure work is performed per drawings, specifications, codes, and scope of work
Enforce Jennings Mechanical, OSHA, and site-specific safety requirements
Coordinate work with general contractors, other trades, and inspectors
Monitor labor productivity and communicate progress to Project Management
Anticipate manpower, material, and equipment needs
Assist with change orders, inspections, punch lists, and project closeout
Maintain accurate daily reports, manpower logs, and field documentation
QualificationsRequired
8+ years of experience in commercial and/or industrial mechanical construction
Proven experience supervising mechanical field crews
Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, sheet metal, plumbing, and mechanical systems
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Solid understanding of OSHA regulations and jobsite safety practices
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred
Journeyman or Master license in HVAC, plumbing, or pipefitting (as applicable)
OSHA 30 certification
Experience on large commercial or industrial projects
Experience working in South Carolina or the Southeast
Familiarity with BIM coordination and digital construction tools
