The candidate will have a minimum 10 years of experience in all facets of public works infrastructure construction projects including 5 years of experience as a licensed Professional Engineer (PE). Duties: Provide complex, paraprofessional engineering guidance to staff and clients. Coordinate and assign inspection personnel to ensure appropriate assignment to jurisdictions/ projects. Assign and coordinate inspector work priorities on a daily and weekly basis to ensure that assigned projects receive the appropriate amount of inspection in accordance with the contract. Communicate and coordinate regularly with client representatives to keep informed of the project status and any upcoming issues, and provide updates for construction projects that are in progress. Identify training needs and provide training opportunities as appropriate. Research and stay current on laws, technology, practices, and procedures as relevant to the position. Provide timely and accurate service in response to client requests. Ensure project budgets are adhered to; review draft invoices for assigned construction inspection and management projects and bring any problems to the attention of the Construction Services Manager as soon as possible.
