The Role
We're looking for a Project Manager that will provide leadership and direction for successful data center project completion. The Project Manager will provide a keen focus on the quality delivery and profitability of the job by planning, scheduling, and managing the project team while ensuring that the schedule and project goals for the job are met. It is critical that the Project Manager perform this work within the policies, ethical standards and objectives of Hermanson Company.
Project Managers will also be responsible for employee training and development (including their own growth and development), coordination with other departments and group managers to help meet strategic company goals, and for providing world-class customer service and building strong customer trust and relationships.
The successful Project Management candidate will have the technical and working knowledge generally achieved from at least 5 - 10 years of successful experience in the mechanical construction industry in capacities that would provide direct experience and exposure to Project Manager duties.
The salary range for this position is $95,000 to $140,000.
(The compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills and experience).
Qualifications
The successful Project Management candidate will have the technical and working knowledge generally achieved from at least 5 - 10 years of successful experience in the mechanical construction industry in capacities that would provide direct experience and exposure to project manager duties. In addition, we are seeking someone who:
Has a proven track record of excellent customer relations and problem solving.
Has a strong technical knowledge of mechanical system operations,
Developing and managing project plans, schedules, and scopes of work.
Preparing client and subcontractor change orders.
Monitor, control, and report on the financial performance of projects.
Coordination of work with trades, subcontractors and vendors.
Coach and mentor project team members.
Develop project staffing plans to include labor, subcontractors.
Is an accomplished team player.
Can demonstrate solid computer and online navigation skills
Has good math, communication, and reasoning ability and strong business skills.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, or Engineering preferred or equivalent education and experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide dealers and customers with clear installation guidelines to support success and
consistency.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes, tools, and practices that enhance installation quality, efficiency, and safety.
• Create and manage communication protocols between internal teams, subcontractors, and customers to ensure clarity and accountability.
• Support Quality department on resolution of customer quality issues and complaints.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Operations, or related field (preferred).
• 7-10 years of project management experience, preferably in steel erection, material handling, or industrial equipment installation.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety standards, OSHA requirements, and subcontractor management.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Overview
We are hiring Construction Inspectors Managers to oversee work in PennDOT Districts 2, 4, 5, 8, 9, and 10.
An employee in this class directs through subordinate managers the inspection of materials and workmanship on complex road and bridge construction projects or performs managerial or consultative work. Work at this level is characterized by functioning as the manager of projects encompassing a variety of major work operations running concurrently such as the construction of multi-lane roadways and multi-span bridge structures encompassing interchanges and overpasses, lighting, guiderail, erosion and sedimentation control and maintenance and projection of traffic. Work requires the interpretation of construction plans and specifications for all types of construction projects. Work involves planning and organizing work, assigning work, reviewing work performance, evaluating employee performance, interviewing and recommending employee selection, reviewing and answering grievances, and approving leave. Assignments require an extensive knowledge of testing and inspection techniques and involve considerable independence in planning work details and making technical decisions. Work is assigned in the form of general objectives by a technical supervisor who reviews work for results obtained.
Responsibilities
Knowledge of the principles and methods applied in inspecting and testing construction materials.
Knowledge of engineering principles and practices applied in highway and bridge construction.
Knowledge of the use of materials and their placement in construction.

Our client, a well-established and respected industrial systems and services organization, is seeking a Site Superintendent - Field Services to lead on-site execution at a tier 1 food manufacturing facility.
This is a senior field leadership role for a hands-on professional who combines deep mechanical installation experience with the ability to lead crews, coordinate subcontractors, and serve as the primary on-site authority. The Site Superintendent will oversee daily execution, ensure safety and quality compliance, and act as the face of the organization at the customer site.
This role is anchored to a primary site and offers long-term project stability, leadership visibility, and meaningful operational ownership.
Key Responsibilities
Field Leadership & Execution
Lead day-to-day field activities for large capital projects and recurring short-duration installations.
Oversee mechanical installation, fabrication, welding, equipment assembly, and system integration.
Serve as the on-site authority for technical decisions, sequencing, and execution.
Ensure work meets engineering drawings, specifications, codes, and quality standards.
Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and site documentation.
Crew & Subcontractor Oversight
Direct field technicians and subcontractors across multiple trades.
Monitor workmanship, safety compliance, and schedule adherence.
Provide performance feedback and contribute to hiring, advancement, and corrective actions.
Coordinate work across union and non-union environments as required.
Planning, Scheduling & Coordination
Plan and schedule manpower, tools, equipment, and materials.
Anticipate constraints and adjust daily and weekly plans proactively.
Support estimating and planning by evaluating site conditions and labor needs.
Act as the primary liaison with customer representatives, engineering teams, and plant leadership.
Communicate changes in scope, schedule, risk, or cost and collaborate with project leadership to resolve issues.
Qualifications & Experience
Education & Background
High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school strongly preferred.
Ideally 10+ years of industrial mechanical, installation, fabrication, or construction experience.
Strong preference for experience in food manufacturing or GMP-regulated environments.
Prior experience leading crews or supervising subcontractors in active job-site settings.
Technical Expertise
Advanced mechanical aptitude (installation, welding/fabrication, hydraulics, pneumatics).
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, layouts, and technical documentation.
Working knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and job-site compliance.
Familiarity with AutoCAD or technical drawings is a plus.
Leadership & Communication
Strong field leadership presence with the ability to direct teams and represent the organization on site.
Effective communicator with customers, site leadership, and internal stakeholders.
Organized, decisive, and able to manage multiple concurrent workstreams.
Work Environment & Expectations
Primarily site-based at a customer manufacturing facility.
Industrial environment requiring PPE and strict safety and GMP compliance.
Physical demands include standing, climbing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and working around active equipment.
Travel up to 10-20% to support additional sites as needed.
Must be self-directed and dependable while working remotely from corporate offices.

Act as or supervise Horst Construction's competent safety person on site and maintain site activities in accordance with the company safety policy and project specific safety plan.
Schedule and coordinate daily work activities including subcontractor work and deliveries in conformance with project schedule.
Communicate to employees estimated productivity rates for self-performed work and monitors conformance to these rates.
Develop a positive working atmosphere, work schedule and habits.
Act as Mentor to develop foremen leadership and managerial skills to support their growth into positions of increased responsibility.
Superintendent Skills Expectations
As the construction expert of the field project team, you'll be expected to perform the following with the highest degree of quality and safety:
Review project plans, specification and contract documents.
Ensure project profitability.
Calculate job progress, risks and time necessary to perform tasks.
Assist Project Manager in creation of and updates to the project schedule.
Monitor quality of all work self-performed or subcontracted.
Document as-built conditions on a record set of as-built drawings as changes occur.
Remediation of all non-conforming work, whether self-performed or subcontracted.
Comply with municipality requirements, specifications, safety standards and company policies.
Review contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, submittals, and shop drawings.
Communicate with Project Manager, Owner, Subcontractor, employees, inspectors, suppliers, architects and engineers.
Responsible for interpretation of contract documents, project layouts and problem solving.
Prepare Daily Log Reports, Job Site Managers Weekly Report, O.S. Reports, etc.
Purchase materials via Field Purchase Orders.
Coordinate project site set-up (fencing, signage, trailers, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 6 years of construction experience and 2 years of commercial construction management experience required.
Must be able to read and understand blueprints and contract documents and effectively communicate the contents.
Must have knowledge of building, mechanical, electrical, civil and fire protection trades.

Track project schedule and make recommendations

Or
One (1) year minimum PennDOT experience as a Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor 2 (TCIS-2) or higher, and has attained NICET Level IV Certification in Highway Construction, only NICET Certifications in Highway Construction are allowed unless special circumstances of other NICET subfields are requested for Central Office approval and either PennDOT Concrete Technician Certification or NECEPT Field Technician Certification.
Or
