DAY-TO-DAY
In this skilled trade position, you play an important part in the smooth operation of the construction team. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

All of our work is geotechnical, including geohazard projects like landslide repair, mudslide repair and erosion control, where experienced tradespeople play a critical role in our success.
Responsibilities
Working with a Superintendent and teammates, apply your skills effectively to get work done efficiently, safely and correctly.
Work in your specialty area but be willing and able to contribute any work that helps drive project success.
Travel across the US to do work. We travel on 3-week on, 1-week off or 5-day on, 2-day off schedules depending on the location of the crew member and the work.
Learn and apply new skills so you can do more: machines, soils technology, specialty techniques, leadership and problem-solving principles.
Qualifications
3+ years of geotechnical or civil construction experience
Heavy equipment operation experience (skid steer, excavator, concrete/grout pump, etc.)
Equipment cleanup and maintenance.
Experience with casing, rock drilling or similar.
Experience with Shotcrete.
At least one year of traveling construction labor experience.
At least one year of working outside in all conditions.
Ability to understand and meet daily production targets.

BASIC FUNCTION:
The Respite worker will provide intermittent, regular scheduled, temporary care, and or supervision for a mutual client of Inland Regional Center and United Cerebral Palsy who resides with a family member or care provider.
This position is for the High Desert Area (e.g., Victorville, Apple Valley).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Work a minimum of two hours at each respite appointment.
Follow instructions for the care of clients/consumers and siblings as outlined by parent(s)/guardian(s).
Assist client/consumer(s) in areas of feeding, dressing, toileting, grooming, light meal
preparation, etc., as needed.
Use safety precautions at all times when providing care to clients/consumer(s) and siblings.
Report suspected incidents of abuse to the Respite Program Manager & complete the required
documentation.
Never leave a client(s)/ consumer(s)/ siblings unattended.
Maintain certification of CPR and First Aid at all times, current copies to be on file in office.
Adhere to policies and procedures in the employee handbook and respite fundamental training manual.
Adhere to UCPIE's Injury and Illness Prevention Plan and all other applicable safety procedures.
Report any changes in personal information to the respite program manager immediately.
Complete and submit time cards, mileage, reports, etc., using UCPIE timekeeping and case management software.
Complete client daily notes and submit to UCPIE administrative offices as instructed by the respite
program manager.
Maintain current information on emergency call forms and submit copy to UCPIE office.
Return phone calls to the UCPIE administrative team within 24 hours or immediately if an emergency message is received.
Do not transport client(s) or siblings at any time.
Continue education through training modules, workshops, annual UCPIE in-house training, etc.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: The employee must have the ability to lift, pull, push, run, and manipulate/use adaptive equipment and patients, which requires strength and gross motor and fine motor coordination. The employee must be able to perform CPR and administer First Aid The position requires sitting and/or standing for long periods of time (2 to 8 hours per shift). The position requires the ability to operate an automobile and a computer. The employee must be able to climb stairs and provide services in the family's home environment.
TRAVEL
This job requires daily travel to the client's home; note travel will not exceed 40 miles unless approved by the Respite Program Manager.

You will conduct and report on, to the highest level of quality, a range of field testing and sampling on the environmental impact of a potential source of pollutants primarily but not limited to factors affecting Indoor Environment Quality (IEQ). It may also include pollutants in water and air.
You will be expected to use and care for equipment such as air sampling monitors, sound level and light meters, water pumps and sampling kits, to analyze and test specific areas for pollution sources. You will be responsible for the equipment in your care for this work.
