Responsibilities Include: Operate landfill tipper Maintain cleanliness of tipper cab and surrounding area - shoveling and sweeping Litter picking Spotting/directing trucks Tracking weather patterns to be able to set up fencing and wind screens Traffic management - moving signs and cones Ensuring that all customers are wearing proper PPE Cleaning Equipment General site cleanup and landscaping Performing other assigned duties at the landfill as needed Working Conditions and Physical Effort: Work involves constant exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, bio hazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds. Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. Ability to safely climb on and off of heavy equipment in order to operate, clean and inspect. Requirements: At least 2 years of work experience. Preferably in a labor type position The ability to lift up to 75 pounds Experience operating equipment is a plus Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift Mechanical ability is a plus.
