Job Description About the Role: M&J Enterprises Construction Inc. is currently seeking highly motivated and skilled TTT1 and TTT2 Tower Hands to join our team in Las Vegas. As a Tower Hand, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of telecommunication towers and associated equipment. DEFINITION To clean and repair streets, sewer lines, storm drains and traffic signs throughout the City. Removes debris and illegally dumped garbage from City property. Maintain barricades, street signs, and other traffic control devices. * Assist streets crew with daily tasks. * Perform tasks such as cleaning vehicles, equipment and shop, pouring and finishing concrete and weed abatement. * Paint curbs, work with road striping crew. * Be dependable and meet acceptable attendance requirements at all times. * Follow all applicable safety rules and regulations. Supplemental Information WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed under the following conditions: Work is primarily performed outside in varying and extreme weather conditions for extended periods of time where employees are exposed to excessive loud noise, vibration, dust and traffic. Physical Requirements: Physical effort is required to perform heavy manual labor in confined and cramped spaces and uncomfortable conditions, climb ladders, frequent kneeling, stooping, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, and standing for long periods of time. Moderate amount of mental effort required. Regular lifting/carrying/pushing or pulling of objects and equipment ranging in weight from 25 to 100 lbs is required. Subject to 24 hour call back for emergency conditions. Job Hazard/Risk Factors: Employees risk physical hazard from mechanical and electrical equipment, exposure to live sewer systems, storm drain systems, human debris, drug paraphernalia, heavy equipment, hot tar and asphalt, working in and around trenches, hazardous gases, fumes, paint, chemicals and pesticides. CASUAL EMPLOYEE STATUS: Most casual employment with the City of Mesquite is for a short time. Some casual employees are asked to work longer periods. Sometimes, casual employees work in more than one job. Position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing.
