Job Description
The Construction Specialist is responsible for overseeing and observing the construction phase of assigned projects and documenting contractor adherence to construction contract documents. This role serves as the primary field liaison between construction contractors and engineers and supports multiple active projects simultaneously.
Projects include civil/site work, water lines, sewer lines, treatment plants, pump stations, lift stations, and asset inventory and assessment.
Key responsibilities include:
Observing and documenting daily construction activities during site visits
Preparing accurate and complete daily observation reports for each project
Communicating construction progress with construction administrators, engineers, contractors, and clients
Monitoring multiple concurrent construction projects
Reviewing construction contract documents, including front-end documents, general conditions, and technical specifications
Becoming thoroughly familiar with project plans and specifications and identifying deviations
Assisting with quality control procedures, documentation, correspondence, and project close-out
Supporting post-construction services in accordance with established procedures
Addressing inquiries and concerns from residents or other affected parties
Verifying quantities and costs related to contractor pay applications
Scaling drawings and measuring distances accurately
This is a 100% field-based position with daily travel to project sites.
Requirements
Associate's degree or equivalent with 2 years of related experience, OR
4+ years of relevant construction industry experience
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
Strong mathematical and documentation skills
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong communication and organizational skills
Valid driver's license
Water/wastewater, civil, utility, commercial, or industrial construction experience preferred

This position involves preparing and cleaning job sites, operating hand and power tools, assisting the heavy equipment operator with driving of construction equipment, including bulldozers, forklifts, backhoes, and assisting in loading and unloading of equipment and material supplies as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Cultivate safety as a core value throughout the company, supporting the corporate safety program and personnel.
Assisting supervisors with completing all tasks assigned
Safely Operate tamps, jackhammers, and other miscellaneous equipment
Carefully hand digging with shovels, picks and digging bars to locate and expose existing utilities
Report repairs that need to be made to any equipment to foreman.
Assist in operating heavy equipment in compliance with companies operating safety policies and procedures.
Fully restore any excavations at completion of installation.
When required and if appropriately licensed and authorized, drive or operate construction equipment to complete daily work assignments
Clean and maintain all company vehicles when assigned for use
Receive, store, and protect project material and equipment, including owner furnished items; documenting and reporting any shortages and damage immediately.
Assist Foreman on managing the successful completion of all installations from start to finish.
Be able to coordinate your actions with those of other workers on busy solar sites.
Assist Foreman with accurate daily reports.
Provide support and assistance to other Cinterra divisions as needed.
Demonstrate a professional demeanor and ensure all project personnel act professionally.
Handle special assignments and other duties as requested by leadership.
Requirements:
At least two years of construction experience (required)
High School diploma or GED (required)
Familiar with OSHA regulations (required), OSHA training and certifications (preferred)
Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Must be able to work long and/or extended hours to include weekends, as needed, with ability to travel frequently.
Requires a working knowledge of equipment being used (preferred)

Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, tools, and equipment (up to 50 pounds or more).

Construction General Laborer Job Requirements:
High School diploma or GED
Desire to learn
Must be able to work independently as well as a team
Excellent critical thinking and problem solving ability
Ability to operate smartphone technology
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment
Able to read blueprints, sketches and other specifications required by our client
Ability to communicate effectively (spoken and written)
Must be legally eligible to work in the US
The applicant must have a valid Drivers License and have means of transportation to and from work
Pre-employment background screening (criminal, drug screen and DMV) is required for all positions
