Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Fire & Life Safety Sales Executive to lead market development in the Raleigh area. There is no existing office in this market - success in this role requires initiative, discipline, and prior experience building a territory.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a territory growth strategy for the Raleigh / Triangle market
Generate new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, and relationship development
Sell recurring Inspection, Testing & Maintenance (ITM) / Planned Maintenance Agreements (PMA)
Sell system installations including Fire Alarm, Access Control, CCTV, and related low-voltage systems
Build relationships with property managers, facility managers, general contractors, and end users
Coordinate with internal operations, project management, and service teams to ensure successful execution
Accurately qualify opportunities, build proposals, and manage deals through close
Maintain CRM activity, pipeline reporting, and forecasting discipline
Represent Optimum Fire & Security professionally in the local market and industry events
Qualifications & Experience
5+ years of sales experience in fire alarm, life safety, or commercial security systems
Proven success selling ITM/service contracts and project-based installations
Experience working autonomously without a local office or daily supervision
Strong understanding of fire alarm systems and related codes (NFPA familiarity preferred)
Ability to build trust with technical buyers and decision-makers
Highly organized, self-motivated, and results-driven
Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally
NICET certification (or actively pursuing)

JOB SUMMARY
The Sales Operation Specialist will support the sales team by streamlining operations, optimizing processes, and ensuring effective sales strategies are executed. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB
Sales Process Optimization:
Develop and implement sales processes and procedures to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Evaluate end to end sales operations to identify process gaps and lead cross functional stakeholders to optimize sales visibility and execution
Data Management and Reporting:
Manage and maintain regular reports on sales performance and sales data for key KPIs in CRM systems.
Generate regular reports on sales performance, pipeline metrics, and other key indicators.
Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Sales Tools and Systems:
Develop and manage sales tools and platforms.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to sales technology and systems.
Train sales staff on new tools and processes.
Collaboration and Communication:
Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Marketing, Finance, Customer Service) to ensure alignment with sales objectives.
Facilitate communication between the sales team and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
Sales Planning and Strategy:
Assist in the development of sales plans, programs and strategies by providing relevant data and insights.
Support the implementation of sales strategies and monitor their effectiveness.
Administrative Support:
Provide administrative support to the Sales Operation Managers and the sales team as needed.
Manage and maintain sales documentation, including contracts, proposals, and agreements.
Forecasting & Inventory Alignment
Manage in monitoring sales forecasts and aligning with production and inventory teams to ensure product availability.
Support the monthly PSI (Planning-Sales-Inventory) process and provide insights to optimize stock levels.
Oversee PO placement to ensure timely order execution and alignment with Sales forecasts.
EDUCATIONAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree in economics, statistics, mathematics, business administration, marketing, or a related field.
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in supply chain, sales operations, sales support, or a related role is preferred.
Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP), CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
