Strategic Procurement Executive is an experienced logistics professional responsible for sourcing and developing partner carrier relationships. This includes managing both existing and future customer loads - including pickup, transit, and on-time delivery - while maximizing margins and providing exceptional service.
Strategic Procurement Executive responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Manage and continually develop business relationships with our customers and carriers
Ensure that customers freight is covered by managing the pickup, transit and on-time delivery
Recruit and source contract carriers and validate contract eligibility
Present multiple modes of transportation options to your customer base
Negotiate rates with partner carriers to ensure we are able to continue to offer competitive rates to our customers
Dispatch carriers and properly update loads within our transportation management system
Maintain contact with carriers and internal business partners to ensure the shipper and consignee are aware of any challenges or issues that may arise
Consistently track and trace freight movements from origination to destination taking full responsibility for any occurrences while solving them both constructively and efficiently
Continuously develop the carrier base by making outbound calls to build new relationships and expand coverage solutions for our customers
Communicate daily with partner carriers to understand where their equipment is located and what type of haul they are looking to cover
Utilize partner carriers truck lists and external load boards to assist with matching customer needs with carrier abilities
Timely and accurately input information into the transportation management system to ensure system integrity
Provide unmatched Customer Service through daily conversations, actively listening to customers in order to identify needs, provide solutions, educate and build relationships
Qualification, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
High school Diploma or GED
Bachelor's Degree in Business or similar field of study with emphasis in: Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics, Sales, Marketing, or International Business preferred
5+ years' experience working in a full truckload environment
Previous experience with transportation management systems and loads boards; McLeod preferred
Previous experience in some or all of the following modes a plus: dry van, expedited, flatbed, oversized loads, refrigerated and intermodal
Have the drive, assertiveness, passion, and dedication to succeed in the logistics
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities
Ability to handle and prioritize high call volumes and customer inquiries while exuding a high level of customer service
Strong negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills
Knowledge and understanding of transportation guidelines and regulations
Knowledge and understanding of the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations (FMCSR)
Knowledge of local market geography, transportation arteries and traffic patterns a plus
Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and inter-personal skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate with people at all levels of the organization
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing unmatched customer service
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of the Institutional & Specialty SalesConsultant are to:

We are seeking highly motivated and successful Retail SalesConsultants to assist us in our continuing quest to provide exceptional service to our customers. With over 520 store locations and growing, we have been a leader in the Mattress industry for 35+ years, and we are USA family owned and operated! You will confidently sell our premium mattress/bedding products utilizing our tried and proven selling process and cutting-edge diagnostic sleep system bed Match.
Preferred Qualifications
We are looking for motivated people with the availability to work a retail schedule that includes evenings, most holidays, and all weekends. Our typical 4-5-day work week offers our Retail SalesConsultants the opportunity to work between 40 and 55 hours a week.
Bilingual with equal fluency in verbal and written English and Spanish or other languages a plus!
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, reset the showroom floor, and assist customers with loading their mattress purchases onto their vehicles.
You will provide our customers with a relaxed, low pressure and educational shopping experience focusing on improving their lives through our sleep solutions.
We use state of the art technology including tablets, mobile point of sales (POS), and our exclusive bed Match system.

* Partners with community officials, businesses and senior outreach programs to develop initiatives that will appropriately drive new patient growth.
* Schedules one-on-one sales meetings, referral relationships with Plan agents, independent brokers and the senior community to delivers solutions on immediate customer requests. Manages vendors as related to event planning and negotiating contracts with venues where events are taking place.
* Ensures insurance agents and/or brokers are invited to community events to ensure timely patient assignment to ChenMed/JenCare Medical Centers.
* Learns to use marketing and sales tools to identify solutions and sell to new customers. Maintains up-to-date client information in designated customer relationship management (CRM) tool (i.e., SalesForce). Utilizes CRM tool to document interactions with clients and ensures effective management of leads.
* Provides monthly activity calendar reflecting community access points and new tabletop venues. Creates penetration plans and initiatives in key target markets and channels.
* Recovers dormant customers via sales tools and marketing campaigns.
* Drives new member growth by appropriately educating potential patients on our value proposition and healthcare model. Delivers prescribed presentation in front of large audiences.
* Develops distribution channels to support new patient enrollment growth. Uses all sales tools provided to ensure efficiency and collection of pertinent data.
* Partners with sales leadership to improve effectiveness of engagements with distributors, vendors and community partners.
* Builds trusting relationships with brokers/insurance agents/case workers/third party vendors associated with seniors with supervision Develops and executes specific broker and partner strategies and plans.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE CRITERIA:
* High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field preferred OR additional combination of formal education, training and experience above the minimum will be considered in lieu of the education on a year-for-year basis.
* A minimum of 2 years of successful sales experience is required. Working with seniors a plus, as is a general understanding of Medicare Advantage
* A minimum of 2 years of business-to-business experience or equivalent management experience preferred
* Relevant sales experience with establishing and maintaining relationships with business/vendor partners
* Experience in telesales to input sales data into a computer while on the telephone with a customer
