Working under the direct supervision of a Frontline Supervisor, the incumbent serves in a developmental capacity, providing direct disease and public health awareness intervention activities under the auspices of the Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) Program, including but not limited to Partner Services (PS), epidemiological cases analysis and investigations, notification, PreP referrals, counseling and referral services of individuals exposed to or at-risk of infection from Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Hepatitis, Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV), HIV/AIDS, Human Papilloma Virus (HPV), Syphilis and other bacterial, viral or biological agents. Incumbent will also be responsible for linkage to care and re-engagement to care activities. Participates in the State of Florida mandated "Test and Treat" program. Direct guidance and instruction on work methods, procedures, and techniques are provided. All activities are performed observing federal, state, department and CHD Information Security and Confidentiality statutes, rules, regulations, policies, Technical Assistance Guidelines (TAGs) and Internal Operating Procedures (IOPs).
Coordinates and conducts timely personal interviews and re-interviews of patients infected with a Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) for: (1) educating patients regarding their infections and appropriate medical care; (2) developing plans to locate and refer their sex and needle sharing partners and others at risk for infection to a medical facility for examination and appropriate treatment. Performs cluster interviews on persons determined to be potential information sources for known cases.
Performs rapid/timely field follow-up to locate and refer infected persons, sexual and needle sharing partners, as well as others who are at risk, to an appropriate diagnostic facility for examination and treatment. Educate, and counsel high risk Men having sex with Men (MSM) and others at risk individual about Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PreP). Link at risk individuals to PreP services in the community. Identifies at-risk populations and provides screening * (e.g., jails, migrant farm workers, public housing developments, bars, "crack houses, teen centers). Conducts educational presentations and in-service training as needed/required. Link newly identified HIV patients and previous positive returning to care to Test & Treat Providers in the community. Adhere to the locally established T&T procedures. Collaborate and coordinate with HIV testing linkage to care and patient care staff. Collaborate and coordinate with HIV testing and linkage to care staff. Works with community-based organizations in screening events.
Performs case management activities as directed in the process of discovering and/or identifying infected individuals. These activities will include but are not limited to: work prioritization and records documentation and management, clustering, HIV pre- and post-test counseling, visual case analysis and epidemiological techniques, data entry and/or other related activities. Utilizes STARS to ensure Linkage to care (LTC) and STD cases are entered in accurately and timely.
Consults with private physicians; private and public laboratory personnel, and other health care providers to: (1) stimulate case reporting; (2) obtain/provide information on treated cases or diagnostic determination.
Conducts internet Partner Services using the lnternet and select mobile dating applications to notify persons exposed to, or at-risk for STD's, including HlV. All partner notification activities will be carried out within established communication parameters as outlined in the Internal Operating Policy (lOP) 360-19- 17, Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STO) and HIV partner Notification via Mobile Dating Applications
Assists supervisor in the completion of monthly team statistical data, maintenance of logs & files. Incumbent is expected to cooperate with supervisory staff in allowing quality assurance reviews as needed in the incumbent's/county vehicle, in the field or clinical setting.
Provides supports services not considered routine or expected duties that facilitates STD control efforts and Emergency Operations functions required of the incumbent will include but are not limited to; Special Needs Shelter, Red Cross shelter, and other related work as required.
Collection of specimens by venipuncture, oral swabbing and/or urine-based techniques.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

CHILD PROTECTIVE FIELD SUPPORT CONSULTANT
Location: Circuit 17
Hours of Work: The selected applicant should be available to work weekends and evenings on-call hours at the discretion of the Supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities: This is advanced professional work assessing and developing Child Protective Investigators (CPIs) to ensure possession of the appropriate level of professional competencies. This position will work in cooperation with CPI Supervisors and management in promoting the development of knowledge, skills, and their application for CPIs.
* Observe and document investigator casework activities in providing protective investigations, assessment of service needs, and referrals to service providers.
* Provide qualitative, performance reviews and assessments of child welfare practices.
* Reviews casework, assessments and safety plans with investigators, and provides consultation and direction to ensure appropriateness, clarity, quality, thoroughness and proper documentation.
* Provides real-time support/guidance by scheduling field assessments (random and scheduled) during investigative activities conducted by CPIs to provide on-the-job training.
* Assist, coordinate and conduct preservice specialty track trainings for the Southeast Region.
* Assist in providing guidance to investigators by coaching, motivating, modeling and providing other mentoring initiatives.
* Coach and assist CPIs with documenting aspects of investigations (i.e., chronological entry of case summaries), in which support was provided to investigators, by updating the appropriate information systems.
* Observe, analyze, and evaluate individual CPI performance to determine their effectiveness and level of competency and provide recommendations to regional management regarding actions to improve performance.
* Serves as member of leadership team responsible for developing and delivery of CPI training and development issues or concerns.
* Provide recommendations to the Department's Program Office on enhancements to both CPI pre-service and in-service training to ensure the development and maintenance of a comprehensive and relevant training curriculum.
* Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with organizations and other agencies involved with child protective investigations such as community-based providers, Children's Legal Services, law enforcement, medical personnel, schools, and other community/agency resources.
* Ensures effective communication with deaf or hard-of hearing customers or companions in accordance with the ADA and/or Section 504 and shall manage service records and report this data and any resources and/or training needs to their designated program point of contact.
* Serves as a subject matter expert on child protective investigations.
The position will perform all job tasks in accordance with laws, rules, regulations, policies, and requirements applicable to state and federal laws or procedures.
Minimum qualifications:
* Currently employed by the Florida Department of Children & families in Child Welfare
* Current Florida Child Welfare Certification
* A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
* 2 years of child protective investigative related experience
* Experience managing, coaching and evaluating the work practices of Child Protective Investigators
* CPI mentoring experience.
Preference:
* Experience with casework reviews of child welfare practices
* Experience in classroom setting, training child welfare workers
* Experience coordinating, and implementing in-service trainings
* Experience as acting supervisor experience
