We are currently seeking a Service Technology Consultant (Labor) to join the Global Service Rebuilds team. You will have the responsibility to lead projects related to Caterpillar Recommended Labor, expand labor coverage that aligns with OLGA opportunities, develop Labor Study tools, coordinate with Product Groups on new products and implement process improvements. The successful candidate will serve as an experienced contributor to projects that are complex in nature, working with individuals and teams across global sites and Cat dealers. Additional Information: * Location: Peoria, IL (United States) * Required Travel: Less than 10% (Domestic + International) * Relocation Assistance Offered: None * US Work Sponsorship Offered: None What You Will Do: As a Service Technology Consultant, you will lead the development and management of Caterpillar's Recommended Labor dashboard and serve as the trusted authority for labor hour recommendations for Service Options and Rebuilds. This role includes overseeing the lifecycle of labor tools used in labor time development and acting as the Labor Program Manager, coordinating with Product Groups on new products being introduced and the labor requirements needed. Tasks will include: * Develop and maintain Caterpillar Recommended Labor and Rebuild labor data in collaboration with Service Events & Insights. * Investigate and resolve discrepancies in labor hour analytics. * Lead projects defining rebuild programs and associated labor requirements. * Communicate effectively with stakeholders, peers, and dealer personnel. * Evaluate processes and implement lean improvements. * Drive process enhancements for labor development tools, including automation of labor time study data. * Coordinate with Product Groups to ensure accurate labor time study forecasts. * Serve as an internal and external labor subject matter expert. * Continuously expand knowledge of Caterpillar's product line. What Will Set You Apart (Top Candidates Will Have): * Strong mechanical aptitude * Knowledge of Cat machines and engines, comprising of systems such as powertrain, hydraulic, electrical, cooling, fuel, brake, steering etc. * Good understanding of machine components such as engine, transmission, torque converter, driveline, axle, differential, final drive, etc. * Understands the Caterpillar machine and engine parts product structure. * Good understanding of Reuse & Salvage Guidelines. * Experience leveraging Service Magazine Articles, Special Instructions, PIPs, PSPs * Experience with dealer service data, SMCS codes, and standard jobs. * Experience with reading and interpreting Caterpillar engineering prints. * Experience with SIS, RWA, EDS, NPR, HVC * Accuracy and Attention to detail * Analytical Thinking * Decision Making and Critical Thinking * Dealer quoting methodology. * Knowledge of Caterpillar Upgrades & Retrofits and how these are marketed with Cat Certified Rebuilds * Knowledge of Global Warranty and Cat Insurance Services products supporting Cat Certified Rebuilds What You Will Get: Through it all, we are one team - creating and delivering world-class components and solutions superior to the competition.
