The Trainer reports to the Manager, Range Operations. This position is responsible for serving as an instructional leader in the classroom, on the driving range, in the yard and on the road. This position will monitor student progress, prepare student evaluations and maintain student records. This position will schedule adjunct faculty trainers to ensure adequate coverage based on training volume. This position will assist with scheduling equipment maintenance, equipment inspections and equipment repairs. This position is also responsible for upkeep and maintenance of the training grounds, to include pothole repair, sweepings, and snow removal.

This position has a direct impact on the following budgets line items: Bldg/Grounds Maintenance and Repair, Equipment Maintenance and Repair, Moveable Equipment, Adjunct Faculty Salaries and Motor Vehicle Supplies (oil, fuel, etc.). Total gross dollars associated with these accounts is $202,300.00
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.
Serves as instructor by implementing the training procedures outlined in the Commercial Transportation Center standard operating instructional manual or external contractual relationships in the classroom, driving range, yard and on the road.
2.
Evaluates student progress and skills in accordance with program curriculum and objectives.
3.
Schedules and conducts yard/road training, CDL and DOT testing.
4.
Maintains student records according to State of Ohio regulations.
5.
Maintains student daily log book and classroom attendance records.
6.
Evaluates student learning and progress in accordance with stated objectives.
7.
Determines supply and equipment needs of classrooms and assists in determining supply and equipment needs of the driving range.
8.
Checks equipment to ensure preventative maintenance has been completed.
9.
May assist in the selection, testing and orientation of new trainers.
10.
Participates on committees, advisory boards, and task groups.
11.
Maintains a neat, clean, well-groomed appearance.
12.
All other duties assigned by supervisor.

High school diploma or GED equivalent; college courses preferred
Three years experience driving a Class "A" commercial motor vehicle

JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Manager, North American Operations Training, this position is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of the technical and soft skills training for North American operations staff. Working with the operations management team, the Training Consultant will develop the North American training plan that ties into the strategy of the organization and the overall company direction. Executing a two-pronged strategy, the Training Consultant will work with training resources and the network of Rotational Trainers to extend the reach of the classroom and other multimedia delivery. The Training Consultant will provide reinforcement at the individual level to drive sustained behavior and adoption. Working with the Rotational Trainers, the Training Consultant will assist in the development and execution of individualized training plans to support the business goals and career objectives.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Conduct quarterly and annual training needs assessments with operation leaders to identify capability and performance needs to recommend the appropriate learning solutions.
* Develop, maintain, and expand working relationships with key internal stakeholders in the organization at all levels to support the effective execution of the training plan, adjusting as business requirements change.
* Facilitate the delivery of learning and development programs with a focus on both technical and soft skills. Responsible for coordinating other business resources and facilitators to assist as required.
* Manage the training aspect of corporate led initiatives and projects and coordinate the implementation and delivery of training to Technical Trainers, the Rotational Trainer network, and adjunct faculty.
* Maintain a strong knowledge of external best practices and trends on adult learning and make recommendations to evolve existing programs and/or develop new ones.
* Identify and evaluate the effectiveness of existing training programs and learning paths, prioritize and manage the updates required to maintain industry/business standards.
* Works with the North America Operations Training Coordinator to define key success metrics to assesses the effectiveness of learning programs and inform business stakeholders of return on investment.
* Champion of the Learning Management system, promoting employee and leader adoption and self-serve optimization, and facilitating training of the LMS at the leader level.
* Coach and mentor Rotational Trainers.

Philips Transparency Details
The hourly pay range for this position in OH is $33.00 to $52.00, plus overtime eligible.
This role also includes field service incentive bonus plans, on-call pay, company fleet/car, training, and advancement opportunities. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

Document observations every 20 minutes on recording and in technical comments to include: sleep stage, clinical events, position changes, pressure changes, SaO2 values, heart rate, and respiratory rate, changes in procedure, and significant events in order to facilitate scoring and interpretation of polysomnographic results.
Implement appropriate interventions (including actions necessary for patient safety and therapeutic intervention such as continuous and bi-level positive airway pressure, oxygen administration, etc.).
Follow “lights on” procedures to verify integrity of collected data and complete the data collection process (repeats the physiological and instrument calibrations and instructs the patient on completing questionnaires, etc.)
Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and provide age specific care in the treatment, assessment, and education of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Hourly Base Pay: $10.00 - $14.00
Supplemental Pay: $12,000 - $30,000+ annually
Your Role as a Firearms Trainer:
As a Firearms Trainer at Midwest Shooting Center, you are central to delivering a safe, professional, and impactful training experience for every client. More than a technical instructor, you are a cultural ambassador and customer advocate. You ensure that all training is conducted with excellence, compliance, and integrity while fostering meaningful relationships and promoting continued client growth.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Lead firearms and tactics courses using MSC's curriculum with an emphasis on safety and skill-building.
Maintain class sizes in accordance with MSC semi-private training standards (maximum of 4 clients per session).
Provide coaching to both clients and internal staff to elevate range safety and proficiency.
Uphold and enforce range, training, OSHA, and EPA guidelines at all times.
Promote the sale of semi-private packages, client renewals, and advanced training classes.
Monitor and maintain training equipment and supplies; ensure proper use and accountability.
Provide outreach to clients in accordance with departmental expectations.
Report any unsafe, negligent, or inappropriate behavior observed on the range or within the facility.
Participate in weekly training meetings and audits to support quality improvement.
Engage in regular personal development and cross-training within the organization.
Expectations:
Safety & Compliance: Achieve and maintain a 90% training inspection average quarterly. Ensure all policies are upheld without exception.
Customer Experience: Maintain a minimum 4.5-star average on client reviews each quarter.
Utilization: Sustain a client load of at least 2.5 per session within 90 days of hire.
Development: Read and reflect on at least one assigned book per quarter.
Team Readiness: Be cross trained for an additional position to support business continuity.
