The BCBA will provide clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based upon the principles of ABA to children with autism and related developmental disabilities in the home, community, and school settings. You will be responsible for drawing upon your experience to educate and train new staff on professional and clinical skills as well as client protocols. The BCBA will facilitate communication between all team members, lead team meetings, manage and disseminate client data, and ensure that all team members have the necessary support, training, and materials to assist the client in reaching their full potential.
This is a full time, hybrid position with Monday, Wednesday and Friday in-person and Tuesday and Thursday remote, hours based on client services delivered.

BCBA Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for assessing the needs of clients and developing individual behavior programs accordingly
Monitor therapy teams to ensure client success by providing clients with on-site supervision.
Continuously watch the childs progress and prescribe the amount, scope, and duration of the therapy, make treatment adjustments and be responsible for treatment outcomes
Serve as an important member of childs IEP team by providing objectives, behavior intervention plans, and recommendations for comprehensive goals for their clients to be implemented
Conduct training workshops for families and/or schools, train parents and teachers in ABA, and provide ongoing training and feedback to tutors.
Act as teams point of contact between clients and technicians on the team

POSITION SUMMARY
The Mental Health Professional is a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team and provides clinically appropriate services under the clinical direction of the Associate Director, Mental Health Programs. The Mental Health Professional will provide mental health screenings and assessments, clinical watches, treatment groups and individual sessions, as well as other clinically related activities.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide clinical services, including screening, assessment, treatment planning and crisis intervention.
2. Performs individual and group therapeutic counseling.
3. Performs administrative consultations for specialized social services as determined by the specific needs of the Institution.
4. Interviews inmates to obtain information concerning medical history, mental health history, or other pertinent information.
5. Observes inmates to detect indications of abnormal behavior.
6. Reviews results of tests, treatment plans and treatment cases with the behavioral health team to evaluate client needs and implement treatment.
7. Coordinates psychiatry services, which includes but is not limited to tracking and triaging patients' requests or staff referrals for psychotropic meds; administrative duties for psychiatry visits; tracking psychiatry services provided including signed consents and obtaining refusals.
8. Plans and administers therapeutic treatment such as counseling, behavior modification and psychosocial education to assist inmates in managing their mental disorders and other interpersonal or environmental problems.
9. Discusses progress toward treatment goals with inmates and ensures that the treatment plan is completed in a timely manner, adhered to as the barometer for treatment and is reflected in the progress notes.
10. Consults with behavioral health team concerning treatment plan and amends plan as described
11. Assists in planning and implementing the goals and objectives of programs and projects. May direct special projects as requested.
12. Experience working effectively with a multi-disciplinary treatment team, providing clinical supervision, performing consultation and teaching others
13. Provides the necessary preparation of documentation, necessary records and reports.
14. Participates in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.
15. Provides documentation in accordance with unit policies, procedures, and facility policies when recommended and/or indicated.
16. Participates in mandatory as well as elective educational activities as well as orientation of new staff, and inmate orientation.
17. Attends weekly staff meetings and follows all team/unit protocols.
18. Adheres to safety and security policies, and participates in disaster drills.
19. Follows security regulations and policies, with consideration of clinical factors.
20. Completes case management responsibilities as required.
21. Completes chart reviews as required.
22. Engages in internal audit preparation and review process as directed by the Associate Director, Mental Health Programs.
23. Appropriately recommends/offers input to multi-disciplinary team for transfers to alternate levels of care, and/or grade changes when requested.
24. Participates in all mental health watches and log entries as directed

JOB REQUIREMENTS
LICENSING: Fully licensed, have temporary license or associate license in New Mexico a in Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
CERTIFICATION: Current CPR certification.
EDUCATION: Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling

- Comprehensive Problem List
- Integrated Master Treatment Plan and Updates (24 -72 hours based off payer)
- ASAMs (24 hours, based on state standards)
- Individual, family and group therapy session notes (24 hours)
- Discharge Summary (72 hours)
Uses therapeutic interventions to assist patients with accomplishing all treatment plans goals and objectives and successfully complete treatment.
Assesses patient for substance use disorders, risk to self or others and co-occurring mental health disorders.
Manages aftercare recommendations and support that will prepare patient for maintaining successful recovery.
Provides caseload management as per state requirements.
Participates in crisis intervention with patients as needed.
Participates with multidisciplinary teams such as Financial Case Managers to provide appropriate aftercare planning and securing resources.
Completes documentation daily to meet metrics of 92% completion within compliance.

Train and support staff to assist them in utilizing appropriate interventions and behavior management techniques.

Develop, train classroom staff on Behavior Intervention Plans and Crisis Intervention Plans. Oversee and review monthly and revise.
Collect data and assess targeted behaviors for caseload of students, creation and implementation of strategies to change behavior and development of long term maintenance plans. Continuous assessment and modification of plans.
Participate in the Individual Education Plan (IEP) process including complete monthly and quarterly reports.
Manage a caseload of students including consult with parents and team members and complete required paperwork.
Develop and implement skill acquisition plans that teach functional skills.
Provide crisis intervention and support to students and staff.
Seek input and maintain effective communication with classroom teams and outside entities.
Work collaboratively with other professionals to meet the needs of individual students in the classroom milieus.
