POSTITION OVERVIEW We are seeking an MV Service Specialist who is responsible for performing warranty repairs, technical support, and extensive testing of the internal workings of SMA MV products. Duties include MVT core testing; troubleshooting, repairing; analyzing data, operations, and maintenance activity for Large Scale MV Products. This job requires working with medium/high voltage electricity and maintaining excellent customer service performance. PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES Testing, troubleshoots, repairs, and analyzes SMA Large Scale MV systems in the field, via email, telephone, and site visits. Must be familiar with High Voltage test equipment and understand the results from such equipment. Develops detailed knowledge of SMA's Medium Voltage products, associated with SMA and/or third-party accessories sold by SMA. Must be familiar with DGA sampling and how to interpret the results from DGA reports. Required to maintain an accurate inventory count of spare parts provided by SMA. Regularly works with high voltage DC, three phase power, high AC voltage and related software/firmware of SMA products. Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction while striving to lower the costs of field service expenditure. Collaborate cross functionally with the Global Service Organization, Quality and Suppliers to provide customers with Root Cause Analysis of failures. Additionally, responsible for keeping customers informed of the RCA status. Perform and maintain maintenance activities in accordance with the SMA product maintenance manual on assigned sites with SMA customer contractual obligations. Required weekend and or nightwork is possible depending on customer requirements at the site. Other duties may be assigned or required. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS A bachelor's degree in a technical field is strongly preferred. Basic Medium Voltage Diagnosis Testing Certification from an accredited facility is highly desired. At least 3 years of experience in electrical, electronic and/or network communications are required. At least 3 years of experience with Medium Voltage equipment is required. Prior experience with Cold weld patch repairs and field transformer repairs is required. Experience with pad mounted transformers, Medium Voltage Terminations and operation of Switchgears is preferred. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS The ability to work nonstandard business hours occasionally to support customer service contracts. Knowledge of solar and/or alternative energy markets is preferred. The Communication Specialists handle an average of 2500 phone and radio calls daily. Calls include providers requesting direct admits; referrals to the Emergency Department; requests for our neonatal/pediatric transport team; consults with a subspecialist; METRO (neonatal) consults, Home Vent or Pulse Ox consults; SCAN or SANE referrals; clinic appointment escalations; Trauma activations and many other responsibilities. The Transfer Center is the epicenter of the Children's Mercy Critical Care Transport Team, one of the three busiest neo/peds specialty teams in the country for over a decade. The Certified Flight Communicators (CFC) receive the initial call requesting our team and are responsible for conferencing the referral provider with the appropriate medical control physician at CMH; dispatching the team by jet, turbo prop airplane, helicopter or ground ambulance; notifying pilots; obtaining weather checks; tracking the teams throughout transport with GPS and continuous communication; and communicating with the CMCCT Shift Coordinator and referral provider/facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Content Development Write and edit clear, engaging content for company newsletters and websites, LinkedIn and other social media channels, press materials, thought leadership articles, and more. Develop M&A communications and content strategy. Ensure brand consistency and alignment with Meriton and operating company tone and messaging. Thought Leadership & Executive Visibility Work closely with leaders across the Meriton network to develop external communications strategies. Position Meriton leaders as industry experts through contributed articles, conference participation and speaking opportunities. Assist with speechwriting, presentations and ghostwriting for executives. Social Media & Digital Develop successful integrated social media and digital strategies to increase visibility and engagement. Prepare engaging and visual content for LinkedIn and other social media channels for Meriton and our operating companies. Media Relations Develop and manage media relations plans for each of our 20+ operating companies in their local markets and across trade outlets. Research, build and maintain relationships with trade, business and local media across each of our operating markets. Draft press releases, media advisories and talking points for company announcements. Support media monitoring, tracking coverage and identifying opportunities to increase visibility for Meriton and our operating companies. Event & Campaign Support Provide communications support for customer events, trade shows, and sponsorships. Assist with campaign planning and execution for new markets, acquisitions, and product introductions. Partnership & Brand Support Collaborate with operating companies and their leadership teams to promote regional stories and successes. Help strengthen brand presence across digital channels and external audiences.
