Plant operators under general supervision are responsible for the operation of industrial machinery and equipment. They monitor, control, and maintain these systems to ensure that they run smoothly and efficiently. He or she will support the smooth and efficient running of the plant, as well as ensuring that all safety protocols are followed. The plant operator will also be responsible for conducting regular maintenance and repairs on the plant equipment and directed. Performs the typical duties of Fuel Supply Operator as required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Operate assigned control systems as directed including distributed control, water, steam, combustion, turbine generator and related components in a safe and efficient manner
Maintain assigned control systems to ensure proper operations. Perform routine equipment maintenance, safety checks, inspections and adjustments, as required
Take measurements and readings and compare with standards. Implement corrective actions within established procedures
Assist chemistry vendor in maintaining the boiler system by adjusting chemical feed, as appropriate, and in monitoring the boiler, cooling water and waste water chemistry. Implement corrective actions within established procedures, as directed by senior operator
Assist inspecting and monitoring environmental equipment. Support senior operator with equipment cleaning, filter changes and calibration gas adjustments
Log equipment operating data in an accurate and timely manner. Identify and report problems to Lead Plant Operator and/or Supervisor
Respond to alarms in a timely manner. Operate necessary equipment to effectively respond to critical situations
Perform maintenance activities during plant outages and minor maintenance on shift as required as directed by lead operator
Operate mobile equipment located throughout the plant to maintain efficient operations
Maintain a safe work environment through job planning, housekeeping, and adherence to plant safety rules and procedures, and identification and correction of hazards

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Meets qualifications of a plant operator
Have a working knowledge of LOTO, confined space, P & ID's, hot work

The Dearborn Industrial Generation (DIG) is a combined natural gas and blast furnace gas fueled power plant located in Dearborn, Michigan adjacent to the Ford Rouge industrial complex. The facility is capable of generating up to 800 MW of electricity and 1.2 million pounds per hour of steam. The plant is comprised of one simple cycle gas turbine, two high-efficiency natural gas combined cycle units with heat recovery steam generators, three blast furnace gas/natural gas boilers and one steam turbine. DIG provides AK Steel, Inc. and Ford Motor Company with steam to serve their heating and processing needs. DIG sells its capacity and energy into the MISO market.
Under general supervision, performs a variety semi-skilled duties and responsibilities involved in the maintenance, repair, service and installation of equipment, machinery and related facilities. Keeps records and prepares reports; and performs a variety of tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility. Perform the tasks common to the classification under supervision.

Qualifications
To operate our company vehicles, you must have a minimum of a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with HAZMAT, tanker, and air brake endorsements as well as a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate allowing for operation in interstate commerce. Responsibilities
As a local Delivery Driver, you will be part of a team of passionate and professional individuals committed to customer service. We will help you jumpstart a rewarding career by providing you with the tools and training necessary to deliver fuel in a safe and efficient manner to our customers' homes and businesses.
Deliver fuel locally (home every night) in a safe and efficient manner
Maintain the delivery truck which includes reviewing the maintenance record, performing inspections and reporting all vehicle conditions requiring attention for continued safe operation
Provide superior customer service
Account for funds and inventory with a user-friendly handheld terminal
**This is a part-time position offering approximately 29 hours per week.**

Qualifications
To operate our company vehicles, you must have a minimum of a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with HAZMAT, tanker, and air brake endorsements as well as a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate allowing for operation in interstate commerce. Don't have the required endorsements yet? No problem, we will give you time and training to help you get them.
Ability to lift and pull equipment that weighs 50 to 75
Exceptional customer service skills
Must be able to satisfy the English Language Proficiency qualification requirements in 49 CFR §391.11(b)(2) by responding to official inquiries and understanding highway traffic signs and signals in the English language. This includes the ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals in English, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
