Primary Role:
This position is responsible for managing (through a team as appropriate) all activities concerned with the delivery of several medium to small capital investment projects from inception to completion, the size and importance of which have a significant impact to Company objectives related to Production, Networks, and/or other water resource or operations systems.
This role will be Hybrid with 3 days in the office and 2 days work from home.
Key Accountabilities:
Monitoring and managing budgets and schedules for several medium to small Capital Investment Projects and programs of moderate scope and complexity.
Driving efficiency into project delivery through the monitoring of delivery metrics (unit costs, target costs vs. actual, etc.) and pursuit of more effective delivery and procurement approaches.
Delivery of assigned Capital Projects in accordance with policies and procedures set for in the Capital Program Management (CPM) system to meet asset needs.
Asset Owner satisfaction in accordance with the scope of work agreed upon for each project.
Interacts with Operations personnel to ensure project delivery program meets operations needs and is coordinated with operations personnel on operational impacts related to project delivery program.
Interaction with Technical Services function regarding standards and requirements.
Ensures compliance with established regulatory criteria, specifications, and standards.
Interacts with property group, technical services, and other internal groups and external governmental agencies to coordinate land acquisition, easements, rights of ways, permits, certificates, and other project approvals for assigned projects and programs
Knowledge/Skills:

Working knowledge of regulatory developments, new technology and current trends in water quality, water treatment, developer services and other related water resource management disciplines.
Knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations.
Knowledge of employee relations, applicable safety and environmental regulations, federal and state water quality and design regulations and technical standards.
Experience/Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years' experience in project delivery of small to medium water/wastewater projects and/or delivery of utility projects.
Consideration will be given for advanced degrees and/or relevant certification(s) in lieu of minimum years of experience.
Certifications/Licenses:
Engineer-in training (EIT) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred.
Valid Driver's License.
Work Environment:
Primarily office with occasional local / overnight work in the field.
Travel Requirements:
Periodic travel with overnight stays as required; generally, less than 20% of total time is anticipated away from office.

Overview
The Project Manager position is the single point of accountability for large PPL Electric Utilities capital projects (Transmission, Distribution and Substation). Responsible for the successful delivery of assigned project portfolio. Responsible for all project management activities throughout the project life cycle including planning, detailed design, construction, close out and turnover to operations on assigned project portfolio. Team player capable of working with management, project control specialists and contractors. Must be capable of coordinating and influencing a wide range of functional organizational leads and subject matter experts across the lifecycle process to accomplish the goals and objectives of the organization. Must be goal oriented, action-focused, pragmatic, and self-disciplined. In addition, she/he must excel at project planning, organizing, communication, team motivation and delegation.
Responsibilities
-Manage a portfolio of projects that include:
* portfolio budget ranging from $1M to $100M
* project budget ranging from $100k to $100M
* complexity from low to extreme (degree of difficulty, level of risk, contracting strategy, stakeholder engagement) duration from several months to several years
-Plans, directs, and ensures the successful management of assigned project portfolio utilizing the complete resources of the project management office and assigned project management teams.
-Maintains communication with upper management both within and across organizations to ensure smooth running of all assigned projects. Advise leadership about the project portfolio, status, budget, and resource planning for delivering strategic business projects. Establish and nurture positive relationships with and customer organizations.

Job Description
The Project Manager facilitates the creation, planning, and execution of company approves projects. This role provides also provides support to team members, transitions project support to operations, and makes recommendations to improve the overall project management process.
