Job Description
As a production supervisor, you will provide leadership, direction and support for the hourly workforce to ensure overall business objectives are obtained. These objectives include but are not limited to safety, production, quality, cost and delivery. Additionally, the Production Supervisor will act as a change agent to help implement process improvements and management initiatives at the plant. Included in the endeavor is active participation in the Continental Business System (Lean) activities to reduce product and process variation and eliminate waste.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
Proactively promote and create a safe work environment for hourly productionassociates. Provide hourly associates with the tools and resources necessary to work safely. Ensure accountability at the plant level with respect to safety rules and processes.” Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent safety incidents.
Effectively communicate plant policies and procedures. Assure compliance to plant policies and rules.
Ensure that associates receive the appropriate training including but not limited to safety training job certification/re-certification, and quality/safety alerts.
Assign and supervise labor to efficiently produce high quality products. Implement and drive process improvements to increase productivity and OEE.
Provide accurate record keeping and documentation to include but not limited to time & attendance systems, payroll, overtime management, training and process audits.
Additional job duties as necessary to facilitate plant operation.
Qualifications

What you will do
The entry-level Production Laborer will be responsible for the operation of various mill production equipment, general housekeeping tasks, accurately reading tape measures and gauges and other test equipment, following directions, ensuring quality, and monitoring the process to produce quality products. This is a 2rd Shift position, with work hours from Monday through Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
**What You'll Be Doing**
Monitor production lines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and identify any issues or malfunctions.
Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and machinery problems to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting machinery to ensure proper operation.
Collaborate with the engineering team to implement process improvements and optimize production workflows.
Perform quality control inspections to ensure products meet company standards and customer specifications.
Document and report any production issues, equipment failures, or quality concerns to the appropriate stakeholders.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Assist in training new production operators on equipment operation and safety procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, engineering, and quality assurance, to resolve production-related issues.
Rotate among all stations within each assembly cell performing repetitive work at a consistent pace to meet customer demands.
Work overtime as needed.
Other duties as assigned.

**Physical Requirements**
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time; use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
