Environmental Supervisor
Our ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing pro-active division-specific environmental programs to ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations including spill prevention and response, air emission control and permitting, storm water control and permitting, wetlands and jurisdictional waters, waste management, community right-to-know, endangered species, and cultural resources. Manage multiple on-going environmental projects including environmental consultants and contract environmental staff. Oversee remediation projects in environmentally sensitive areas. Assist with investigation of environmentally related landowner complaints. Investigate and report spills and other environmental incidents internally and externally as required by law. Monitor federal, state and local regulations and potential impacts to division operations. Attend industry trade group meetings and participate in industry regulatory development efforts. Coordinate with corporate environmental staff in development of S&E management system. Attend and participate in field safety meetings. Position requires travel to field offices and well sites (30% field work and 10% travel).
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Geology or related technical field, Master's degree is preferred.
At least 10 years of oil and gas related environmental experience.
Strong technical knowledge and sound judgment.
Broad knowledge of environmental laws and regulations.
Excellent communication and analytical skills.
Ability to work effectively with others at all levels.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to train and mentor less experienced environmental professionals.
Position will be filled a level commensurate with experience.
