We are seeking part-time, temporary research assistants for a nationwide study assessing the nutritional quality and cost of meals served in schools. In this role, research assistants will work with food price data received from schools to identify food items and extract corresponding price, unit, and amount information.
Positions will begin in March or April 2026 and will likely last for 5 to 6 months, with the possibility of continuing work on other study tasks for additional months. Positions are fully remote and require a minimum commitment of 18 hours per week. Work hours are flexible between 8:30am and 6:00pm EST, Monday through Friday, with potential for working outside these times as the project progresses.
**Important Employment Information:**
As we develop our business and generate work, we are hiring for this skill set, however, if an offer is extended it will be **contingent** upon the successful award of work. **Position Requirements:**
+ Bachelor's degree or prior experience with food service or nutrition research (degrees in nutrition, dietetics, or related field preferred)
+ Strong computer skills, including proficiency with navigating online systems

Attendance and successful completion of all scheduled training sessions are required to work on the project.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing samples for analytical purposes. About the Position
We are searching for an Innovation intern to support the operations of the Jeffco Innovation Lab. The intern will help to facilitate workshops and events, coordinate planning activities, and ultimately support employees all over the county in transforming county services for the better.
The position will report directly to the Innovation Program Manager and receive project guidance and mentorship from the Innovation Lab Lead. The successful candidate will have great interpersonal and facilitation skills, a knack for data analysis and technology, and a desire to facilitate change in government!
SCHEDULE:

The Davey Tree Expert Company is offering a seasonal student internship opportunity in the Davey Institute's Diagnostic Laboratory located in Kent, Ohio. The Davey Tree Expert Company is the North American leader in residential tree care, utility right-of-way management, commercial landscape services, and urban forestry / natural resource consulting with operations throughout the US and Canada. The Davey Institute supports Davey's North American operations through research and development, environmental programs, technical support, and education and training.
Job Duties
* Process and log in plant, soil, and insect samples.
* Lab organization and cleaning.
* Lab equipment maintenance.
* Assist with diagnosing insect and disease problems of plants.
* Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
Qualifications
Qualifications: Enrollment or future enrollment in a relevant college program such as biology, botany, forestry, entomology, environmental science, horticulture, plant pathology, or related field.

BCI Summer Externship- Laboratory

The Ohio Attorney General's Office is currently seeking undergraduate students to participate in our Summer Externship program at the Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Laboratory Unit. The 10-week Externship Program at BCI is composed of a series of modules designed to prepare students for careers in a forensic laboratory or investigations, and to further evaluate BCI's established training program. The externship will includes job shadowing, lecture participation, completing portions of the actual lab training program (mock evidence testing), a mock court testimony exercise, and when available externs will observe BCI forensic scientists in court. This externship opportunity is unpaid, but eligible for school credit (college or university dependent). Headquarter location can be London, Richfield, or Bowling Green.
The Bureau of Criminal Investigation, known as BCI, is the state's official crime lab serving the criminal justice community and protecting Ohio families. BCI also provides expert criminal investigative services to local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies upon request. With offices throughout the state, BCI stands ready to respond 24/7 to local law enforcement agencies' needs at no cost to the requesting agency. Staff at BCI work every day to provide the highest level of service. This includes special agents who are on call 24/7 to offer investigative assistance at crime scenes, knowledgeable scientists and forensic specialists using cutting-edge technology to process evidence to bring criminals to justice, and criminal intelligence analysts and identification specialists who help local law enforcement solve cases. Experienced special agents, forensic scientists, and other law enforcement experts' staff BCI's three main divisions: 1) Identifications 2) Investigations and 3) Laboratory.
Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program and have completed at least one (1) year of the program. Must provide proof of academic enrollment.
