Reporting to the Finance Director, you will perform complex and interpretive financial analyses for assigned area. Present recommendations to management. Be a leader to less experienced staff. Lead small teams and works well with small ad-hoc project teams. May perform business partnering, analytics, annual operating plan, monthly forecasting, Metrics & Scorecard, and Period close. 3 years related experience.

Be a partner for specified function on accounting and finance related questions. This will involve the ability to assess needs and resolve risks and opportunities.Participate in the preparation and compilation of the annual operating plan (AOP) and strategic plan for assigned component of the P&L and related balance sheet accounts.Update the monthly forecast for assigned function based on business changes. Communicate changes to business partners by providing specific, actionable and forward-looking commentary on the changes as well as guidance on potential risk.Contribute to month-end/quarter-end close activities to ensure completion of assigned tasks, including identification and resolution of unusual items and issues promptly.Responsible for project work that will rotate and cut across several different financial disciplines including, FP&A, new product development, manufacturing investments, and in-market investments.Lead the development of metrics, scorecards and reporting for assigned function.Evaluate and deliver periodic metrics, scorecards and reports Provide FP&A support Participate and/or lead finance wide-projects, projects will vary depending on needs.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required3+ years of professional general business and financial experience Experience in P&L management, along with knowledge of financial systems and general accounting concepts.Experience working across multiple departments to complete a project or resolve an organizational challenge.Experience with SAP or other software tools preferred.Demonstrated critical thinking skills, including leveraging analytics, benchmarking, and insights to generate meaningful strategies and solutions.At this time, we require applicants for this role to be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship either now or in the future

Item 1: Weekly Commodity Sensitivity Insights & Report for the CPO
Description: Monday consolidation of category COE insights followed by analysis of price impacts/sensitivities to PEP's commodity inflation based on weekly market price fluctuations
Variables to consider: Bloomberg forwards by category, coverage/open levels, covered prices

Item 2: CRMC Dashboard
Description: Monthly coordination and consolidation of commodity price dashboards for CRMC (Commodity Risk Management Committee; 4 members include Corp Treasurer, Corp Controller, CPO and GP CFO)
Considerations: Interaction with multiple teams to source pricing data. Analysis on main fluctuations for each commodity and market covered (over 10 commodities globally)

Item 3: Investor Relations Net Commodity Inflation Report - External Reporting*
Description: Quarterly detailed inflation and commodity report provided to the IR team prior to earnings. Used for CEO and CFO Factbook
Considerations: Sensitive information provided to Top Mgmt for earnings calls. Consolidate Sector submissions from Essbase, analyze report, extract insights and align stakeholders prior to submission

Item 4: Monthly and AOP Guidance Analytics Support
Description: Model and calculate impact of commodity price guidance by sector/category including relevant KPIs
Considerations: Excel calculations, sensitivity analysis and attention to detail required

Item 5: Ad-hoc Analysis and Partnership
Description: Varies month to month: Cockpit (reporting system) financials and calendar updates; Market Traded Non-Mkt traded commodity visibility; Monthly NCI Sector Submissions in partnership with GP FP Calendar alignment and preparation with GP FP among other activities

General Summary

The Finance Analyst, Grants & Contracts, is responsible for maximizing all Revenue sources for the organization, including managing all government contract applications, reporting, and billing; as well as all investment activities. The Analyst will maintain records in accordance with general accepted accounting principles, MSV financial reporting systems, and internal controls to support monthly, year-end and governmental reporting processes and serve as the back-up for the Finance Specialist, Accounts Payable and Sr. Accountant.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Government Contracts
  • Serve as the liaison to each of our Government grantors and partner organizations.
  • Complete all required documents for each grant application, including budgets and revisions
  • Submit accurate and timely invoices for each funding source
  • Monitor and maximize utilization of all grant funds
  • Maintain master allocation of program expenses and staff against grants
  • Ensure compliance with all grant requirements, including all year end reporting
  • Compile all details for the Single Audit, SEFA, and 990 related to government funding
  • Serve as the liaison to Parent Policy Committee for all reporting
  • Perform general accounting functions to support monthly & annual close and reporting

Job Requirements

Experience/Education

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or business related)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in small business environment with grants, government contracts, general accounting, payroll, general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Non-profit environment preferred.

Qualifications

• Very strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Access (or similar), third party databases ad hoc reporting, and creating program files to import and upload data.
• Experience with Blackbaud and ADP Workforce Now preferred.
• Excellent organizational, collaborative, analytical, written communication skills.
