DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

Take ownership of development and maintenance on core components of the GPU Tools applications
Ability to use or learn a variety of languages currently used in development, including: C++, C# and Web technologies
Writes correct and clean code to defined specifications
Debugs code effectively within primary area
Effectively and proactively documents work
Collaborates with peer groups at Nintendo Co., Ltd. (NCL) and its subsidiaries
May assist with on-boarding new hires and/or participating in the hiring process
Up to 10% travel; domestic and international

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS

0-5 years related experience
Solid knowledge of application software design and emerging technologies • Solid knowledge of real-time interactive platform technologies or industry related trends
Proficient in C, C++, C# or equivalent
Experience with WPF is a plus • Experience with Web development is a plus
Experience with graphics (OpenGL/Vulkan/DirectX) or graphics profiling is a plus
BS or MS in engineering or equivalent
Valid passport may be required

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for a lead backend engineer to join our DTC / eCommerce team. The team is responsible for continuous buildout and improvement of the PAX digital platform and features and functions of the site. We are looking for a talented engineer who is passionate about tackling interesting problems at scale. You'll be working with a team of highly motivated and fast-moving cannabis professionals focused on creating innovative experiences and systems working together to deliver exceptional customer experiences and services.

This is a 6 month contract role.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Build solutions that take into consideration issues of scaling, security, and performance
• Own end-to-end design and implementation of features including development, testing and release
• Collaborate closely with product and the rest of engineering to deliver on our roadmap
• Implement standards and practices to improve and maintain code quality
• Represent engineering in discussions with counterparts on the MIS team for business systems
• Assist in troubleshooting production incidents and provide timely resolution

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• 5+ years hands-on programming experience
• Experienced with Java
• Working knowledge of GIT or similar SCM systems
• Familiarity with RESTful services and API design
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
• Ability to work autonomously as well in a team environment remotely
• Write clear, concise and maintainable code that can be peer-reviewed
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related fields or demonstrable work experience

As a smart contract engineer on the Economics team, you will develop highly impactful smart contracts that further secure Chainlink oracle networks to provide best in class off-chain data to the blockchain ecosystem. You will work closely with all functions at Chainlink, from engineering, operations, finance, marketing, and more to ensure the team releases easy to use and easy to manage smart contract driven products.
