    As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of CenTrak's hardware infrastructure, tags, and other devices at our customer sites. This is a highly visible customer facing position for a detail-oriented person who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You must be a focused individual able to work responsibly for us. This is a hands-on position that requires you to be very proactive and energetic to develop and maintain positive customer relationships. It is the responsibility of the Field Services team to keep these complex systems operating at an optimal health. Responsibilities: Perform battery replacement for CenTrak infrastructure, asset tags, environmental monitoring (EM) sensors, hand hygiene (HH) devices, etc. Perform small installations of infrastructure devices and validate via CenTrak software. Conduct troubleshooting of problematic areas in conjunction with remote support personnel Monitor equipment status and alerts via the Connect PulseTM application Ability to understand CenTrak designs with regards to device location within the hospital Submit Return Material Authorizations (RMAs) of products under warranty Maintain proper inventory of batteries and other equipment necessary for device maintenance Document daily activities, findings, and recommendations and provide to Customer Maintain rapport with customers by examining complaints, identifying solutions, and suggesting improved methods/techniques for the RTLS utilization Qualifications: Preferred: Degree in Networking/Telecommunications 2-3+ years of experience in a professional services environment supporting end-users Experience with IR, Wireless and Network Protocols a plus Experience in enterprise healthcare or hospital environments Advanced problem-solving skills coupled with a commitment to extraordinary customer service Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements Comfortable navigating all areas of the hospital system including patient rooms Comfortable occasionally working around or with potential biological hazards; proper personal protective equipment will be worn in accordance with medical center policy and procedures Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business applications Some area travel required between local sites (reimbursable). Role and Responsibilities: General Networking Possess a strong understanding of general networking concepts and the OSI model. Install, troubleshoot, and repair structured cabling, and review technical drawings. Configure and troubleshoot DHCP and DNS (server and gateway). Perform latency checks, packet captures, and review overall network health. Switching/Routing Install, configure, and troubleshoot switches and routers (Fortinet, Meraki, Cisco). Understand broadcast domains and implement VLANs. Install, configure, and troubleshoot switch stacking and power failover. Understand and troubleshoot network topologies. Firewalls Install, configure, and troubleshoot firewalls and site to site VPNs (Fortinet, Meraki, Cisco). Install, configure and troubleshoot client SSL-VPNs (Fortinet, Meraki, Cisco). Experience maintaining licensing and configuration backup plan. Wireless Implement, configure, and troubleshoot wireless systems including Fortinet, Meraki, Cisco, and UniFi. Maintain licensing and backup configuration plans for wireless systems. This is a full-time travel role with most work conducted in Ohio. You may be required to stay overnight in hotels depending on the project location. The job involves working on landfill projects for construction quality assurance. The role offers a $45/day per diem, company vehicle, and paid hotel stays. The landfill industry is recession-proof, ensuring consistent work availability. There are lots of working hours available during peak seasons (spring/summer/fall). Responsibilities * Monitor and document construction activities at solid waste landfill facilities, including field inspection and testing of soils and geosynthetic liners. * Ensure compliance with all applicable project specifications and construction drawings. * Supervise and complete construction quality assurance and control activities across several states. * Conduct field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, and steel. * Communicate effectively with project managers, engineering technicians, client representatives, and contractor representatives regarding construction site requirements and testing results. * Transport material samples with identifying documentation to laboratories for further testing. * Prepare and submit data and observations in written and digital reports for daily transmittal. * Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas while adhering to strict safety standards. * Assist with basic testing and observation duties under close supervision. * Provide clear documentation of findings and results and communicate them to the Project Manager. * Submit documentation and communicate results as directed by the Project Manager. * Assume progressively increased roles of training and responsibility in work assignments. * Follow safety rules, practices, and other safety requirements for all projects. * Perform pre-task planning before executing work and report any safety issues or concerns. * Maintain quality standards on all projects. Essential Skills * Experience in construction, engineering, materials testing, soil testing, construction inspection, and civil engineering. * Ability to use a nuclear density gauge. * Ability and willingness to travel full-time and stay in hotels as required. * Ability and willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
