The Millwright will repair, maintain, and facilitate installation of industrial machines used in manufacturing and production operations. Shift: Monday - Saturday 7:00AM - 4:30PM Duration - 5 months Per Diem Available for those who qualify (must provide proof of residency). Responsibilities: * Ensures proper operation of large industrial equipment. * Uses hand tools, hoists, jacks, squares, rules, micrometers, plumb bobs, and power tools to assemble, install, align, and adjust machines. * Ensures machines perform to specifications by conducting tests; modifies and fine tunes machines. * Operates engine lathe to adjust machine parts to dimensional specifications. * Disassembles or dismantles machines. * Gathers and assembles parts for repairs or modifications based on blueprints. * Troubleshoots and repairs machines including when unexpected issues arise. * Performs preventive maintenance makes repairs on older machines. * Provides advice and recommendations to management concerning new machinery. * Plans and facilitates installation of new or refurbished machinery, which may include building platforms and foundations. * Conducts safety inspections. * Performs other related duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: * Prolonged periods standing, stretching, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling required. * Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. * Visual acuity to properly inspect and modify large and detailed portions of machinery. * Manual dexterity to assemble, disassemble, adjust, and relocate machines.
