JOB SUMMARY: Certified Control Systems seeks a Control Systems Electrician to be responsible for performing work required for the repair, maintenance, installation, and modernization of electrical systems for HVAC systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Performs work of a skilled variety demanding a high degree of manual and technical competency.
Read, review, modify as needed and follow project related documents such as blueprints, drawings, project scope, budgets, deadlines, and sequence of operation for proper execution requirements
Locates and determines electrical malfunctions using test equipment.
Repairs malfunctions by such methods as replacing burned out elements, fuses, and replacing defective wiring, cleaning, and repairing equipment.
Tests electrical equipment, such as HVAC equipment, motors, heaters, and controls for safety and efficiency, using standard test equipment and by observing functions.
Installs fixtures, wiring conduits, motors, and other electrical equipment.
Installation of EMT and Rigid conduit, as well as, cabling management & support infrastructure systems
Inspects circuits for specified shielding and grounding.
Knowledge of security and fire alarm systems.
Build & wire BAS control panels (in-shop or in-field)
Installation and termination VFDs, low and line voltage lighting controls, control panel power, and other components of the Building Automation Control Systems.
Other Job Duties (Duties listed are not intended to be all inclusive nor to limit duties that might be assigned)
Troubleshoot and repair low and line voltage (up to 480 volt) circuits. (Know how to use a multimeter)
Coordinate material and ordering requirements with Project Managers
Attend job site meetings to represent & discuss workflow, scheduling, and progress.
Must have appropriate tools to efficiently complete electrical work.

QUALIFICATIONS:

4 Years' experience equivalent to a licensed Electrical Journeyman
Completion of an electrical apprenticeship, or master electrical license is a plus, but not required.
Thorough knowledge of the electrical trade and codes, preferably with line voltage control systems.
Candidate is required to be organized, detail oriented and have time management skills.
Must be able to work independently, with minimal supervision, or in a team atmosphere while acting responsibly and maintaining a professional attitude.
Possess knowledge of good customer service techniques, have a congenial personality, and a helpful attitude.
Requires initiative and ingenuity to analyze a situation and to make frequent technical decisions based on specifications and electrical codes.
Understand and communicate with both verbal and written skills.
Candidate must be able to learn and follow sequence of operations for projects in this industry while also having the ability to be a creative, self-starter.
Physical activities of standing, balancing, climbing stairs & ladders, walking and lifting of weights of 50 lbs. or more are required in daily performance of job.
Use of upper extremities required for forward and overhead reaching, pushing and pulling, and material handling.
Use of torso and lower extremities required for kneeling, crawling, stooping, twisting, and squatting.
Must be able to work in constricted spaces.
Valid Florida Driver's License.

**Description**

Highly skilled workers in the instrumentation/electrical craft who perform at or above a CCST/EPRI level II or equivalent. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the removal, repair, installation, troubleshooting, & diagnosis of process instrumentation & electrical systems. Employee may mentor or train other instrumentation/electrical employees. Employee will work under minimal supervision where the primary objective is safe production.

+ Removal, repair, installation, troubleshooting and diagnosis of process instrumentation and electrical systems for process optimization. May mentor or train other technicians and electrical workers.

+ Safe completion of routine and non-routine calibrations and repairs.

+ Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of pneumatic instruments, control valves, pressure, flow, level, temperature, weigh scales and analytical instrumentation.

+ Must have strong knowledge in the maintenance and troubleshooting of Programmable Logic Controllers, transmitter and control valve setup and diagnosis, electrical testing and loop checking.

+ Ability to perform installations and renovations compliant with regulatory agency standards.

+ Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and work area instructions, participates in safety and environmental activities, uses plant and equipment correctly at all times.

+ Perform other duties as required.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Completion of an approved certified program for instrumentation/control system, electronics, & electrical; **OR**

+ Minimum of four (4) years experience in industrial instrumentation/electrical repair and maintenance; **OR**

+ Associates degree or Trade School Certification in the related field **and** two (2) years experience performing maintenance and repair of industrial automation, instrumentation, and electrical systems

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Completion of an approved certified program for instrumentation/control system, electronics, & electrical or Associates degree or Trade School Certification in the related field **and** two (2) years experience performing maintenance and repair of industrial automation, instrumentation, and electrical systems

+ High School diploma or GED

What You'll Do for Us

+ Leads maintenance activities for assigned shift, which includes assign, re-assign and direct preventative maintenance activities, work orders and other maintenance assignments.

+ Ensure adherence to preventive maintenance systems for all production equipment and/or batching/processing equipment, including audits/verification of execution of predictive and preventative maintenance practices for all production equipment and systematic preventative maintenance, including electrical or mechanical adjustments, inspections and minor repairs.

+ Act as a resource for mechanics in identification and correction of potential equipment problem s and troubleshooting and maintain ing production lines and/or batching/processing equipment.

+ Properly perform all necessary maintenance tasks to production lines ( i.e. rebuilds, welding, valve, pipe and solenoid selection, etc.) .

+ Maintain accurate records and logs as required.

+ Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in the execution of the work schedule. Ensures the area is maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion.

+ Work directly with cross-departmental personnel and management to problem-solve to ensure maximum production efficiencies.

+ Comply with all standard safety practices, safety rules, and all Company rules and policies.

+ Maintain proper safety conditions of equipment including immediately correcting or reporting safety issues to your supervisor.

+ Perform quality checks and accurate quality documentation as required.

+ Read, understand and comply with standard operating procedures and Safety Data Sheets.

+ Able to explain and demonstrate job tasks to all internal and external visitors.

Qualification & Requirements

+ Must possess a High School diploma or GED equivalent

+ 5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience with a leadership role

+ 3 years of equipment reliability experience

+ Maintenance experience, include hydraulics, controls, electrical, mechanical, welding, electrical, PLC's, and pneumatics.

+ Ability to troubleshoot maintenance-related problems, read diagrams, blueprints and schematics.

+ Must a chieve a passing score on the Maintenance A utomation Technician test

+ Must be certified on the training plan for this position within 180 days of start date.

+ The ab ility to lift up to 50 pounds and to work on multiple levels, such as catwalks, ladders , as well as the ability to work in extreme temperatures is required

+ Must supply own tools per the Maintenance required tool list

+ Ideal candidate will possess working knowledge of data network, switches, routers and servers

+ Must be able to work flexible shift schedules up to 12-hour shifts as determined by business need

+ Must be able to use a computer and associated software programs
